Job Description:
Provide technical leadership to voice engineering and operations
teams for end-to-end voice infrastructure. Ensure the continued quality
operation for voice infrastructure. Interface with vendors, engineering and
operational systems teams throughout the engineering process. Responsible
for integration and validation of mobile voice solutions within 3G /
LTE / 5G networks. Investigate and research development of strategic implementations of fixed and mobile voice network solution
initiatives. Lead architecture, design and implementation of next generation
voice technology over IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) network. This
includes but is not limited to HSS, CSCF, TAS, MRF, MGCF, ENUM, WebRTC Gateway,
Call Agents, Session Border Controllers, Centralized Routing Services
and Media/Trunking Gateways. Evaluate and oversee interoperation
testing of next generation voice core technologies. Design test
architecture and develop test plans based on solution requirements. Develop
standards (3GPP, IEFT, Cablelabs) based voice solution architectures,
technical design documents and call flows for fixed and mobile network.
Perform technical evaluation of existing Session Broder Controllers to
leverage them as IMS centric Session Broder Controller (SBC) functions
such as P-CSCF, BGCF and IBCF. Prepare RFP/RFI specifications for new
voice solution components. Provide technical guidance to operations
team in evaluation and migration of legacy VoIP softswitch core to next
generation IMS core. Participate in Engineering technical reviews and
approve complex voice architecture changes and upgrades. Education & Experience Requirements: Master’s degree (or equivalent foreign education) in Computer
Science or Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of experience
performing research and deployment for new telecommunications
technologies. OR, in the alternative: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent foreign education) in Computer
Science or Engineering and 6 years of experience performing research and
deployment for new telecommunications technologies. Special Requirements: (1) Demonstrated expertise (DE) performing engineering and
analyzing operations for mobile/voice/messaging networks/systems design,
integration and administration, including VoIP, IMS, and SMS/MMS. (2) DE applying knowledge of 3GPP IMS specifications, interfaces
and call flows for Fixed and Mobile networks. (3) DE analyzing VOIP Protocols, including SIP, DIAMETER, RTP,
and SDP, to verify event flows meet specifications required. (4) DE performing engineering and operations analysis for
voice infrastructure across Wireless Network. (5) DE analyzing call processes between End-to-End system
testing. (6) DE analyzing server technologies and performance across
multiple operating systems including Unix / Linux. (7) DE performing system engineering across server environments,
Wide Area Networking and Local Area Networking. (8) DE performing engineering and operational analysis for
Firewalls, Load Balancers, Routers, Switches, Storage Area Networks, and
