Job Description:

**This work location is a home office. Any qualified U.S. worker will be

permitted to work out of a home office within the same Metropolitan

Statistical Area.

Supports global strategic planning and execution efforts by providing

objective, synthesized information, analysis, and insights about the

industry, addressable markets, and competitors. Assists internal

business partners and stakeholders in shaping and forming best

strategies, plans, and tactics to maximize strategic advantage in the

marketplace. Acts as a company-wide resource for tracking the latest

developments within the industry, technology, addressable markets, and

the competition. Works with stakeholders, including Strategy, Corporate,

Mergers & Acquisitions, Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Services,

Product Development, Engineering and others to coordinate projects and

provide timely, actionable, and high-quality market, product, vertical,

industry, geographic, channel, and competitive insights. Coordinates

multiple projects and provides timely project research and analysis.

Assists in the execution of market sizing, as well as trend and

opportunity analysis projects. Scopes requests and project work

streams, develops hypotheses, and creates analysis plans. Scopes and

executes research requests from more senior members of the team and owns

significant portions of larger projects. Gathers, validates, and

analyzes information and perspectives from both internal and external

sources. Synthesizes research findings into PowerPoint presentations.

Captures market information and builds complex analytical models in

Excel and leverages e-mail, PowerPoint, and Word to synthesize findings.

Participates in and develops key learnings summaries of industry

conferences and webcasts. Gathers conference and webcast materials and

presentations, and adds to the team’s knowledge repository. Writes

summaries that “strip out” Sales and Marketing messages to distill the

key learnings and takeaways, new market insights, and implications.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Master’s degree (or equivalent foreign education) in Business

Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Engineering or related

field plus 3 years of market and research analytics experience.

OR, in the alternative:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent foreign education) in Business

Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Engineering or related

field plus 5 years of market and research analytics experience.

Special Requirements:

(1)Demonstrated expertise researching and modeling PLM, MCAD, and

“Internet of Things” (IoT)-specific markets;

(2)Demonstrated expertise modelling, prioritizing, and presenting

products and business models by geographical and vertical markets using

databases such as Oracle BI, Siebel, and Salesforce;

(3)Demonstrated expertise utilizing online resources and portals from

analysts such as Gartner and IDC and databases such as CapitalIQ and Dun

& Bradstreet; and,

(4)Demonstrated expertise locating data and processes for emerging

market analysis using Mattermark or Gartner’s Technologic innovation

toolkit.
