Knowledge Analyst - People & Organization Practice Area (POPA) -
The Boston Consulting Group, Inc. - (New York, New York): Support BCG’s
consulting services within the People & Organization Practice Area (POPA)
by processing complex research requests and supporting
sophisticated qualitative and quantitative data analytics and advisory in the
areas of employee behavior, target organization model selection, spans
and layers optimization, support function excellences, shared services and
other organization related issues. Specific duties include: work with
case teams to perform people-related analytics and design, develop, and
recommend innovative strategies that optimize the organizational
effectiveness and efficiency within our client organizations; gather, filter,
synthesize, analyze, and deliver industry specific information to BCG case
teams working within the POPA sector; ensure requests are addressed
and appropriate research is delivered; perform cross industry
benchmarking, and best in class organization model analysis in order to develop
specialized topic knowledge, enhance intellectual capital, and support BCG
consulting staff with cross industry data related to the People &
Organization sector; maintain proprietary POPA-specific tools and author training
materials in various topic areas; write abstracts and indexes; assist
Knowledge experts and leads with identifying proper case analysis; and
contribute topic/sector insights and content development within the firm in
order to contribute to BCG’s growing knowledge base through the creation
of original material and by conducting interviews at the end of a
consulting engagement. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial or
Organization Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources Management,
Business Administration or a related field (willing to accept foreign
education equivalent) plus two (2) years of experience performing
qualitative and quantitative analytics in the areas of employee behavior,
performance, hiring decisions and retention. In lieu of Bachelor’s degree and
two years of experience, will alternatively accept a Master's degree in
Industrial or Organization Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Human
Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field (willing
to accept foreign education equivalent). Specific skills/other
requirements (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this
section) – must possess the following, which may be gained through
education or experience: ( must possess the following, which may be gained through
education or experience: (i) performing research and analysis on organization
design topics including target organization models, role alignment,
talent management and staffing and cooperation mechanisms; (ii)
developing organizational effectiveness programs including layer by layer
organization design, role chartering/job description development, management
of a wider Span of Control and process improvement; (iii) human resources
data analytics and organizational data analytics; (iv)
organizational benchmarking and behavioral analysis; and (v) performing initial
assessment and running standard diagnostics to identify organizational pain
points and assess client organizational structure and functionality. Must
have unrestricted authorization to work in U.S. M-F, 9:00 a.m. to
