Job Description:

Duties: Will work as a member of the FIT Capital Markets Technology team as

an electronic trading systems engineer to deliver world-class, ultra-low

latency, high throughput, multi-product, international trading systems.

Will focus on areas such as Trading Cost Analytics, Transition Management

Trading, Low Latency Trading, User interfaces and Data structures. Will

partner across multiple Fidelity and vendor organizations to deliver

solutions to production.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform analysis, design and construction of complex equity and

options trading systems (both domestic and international).

• Analyze and resolve problems associated with technical issues,

project resource issues, and project integration issues.

• Analyze the efficiency of existing and available tools and

approaches, and recommend/pursue process improvements and defect prevention

methods.

• Code, document and communicate projects and solutions to

management.

• Create "breakthrough" solutions to new business situations.

• Mentor developers, and work with team members to monitor project

progress.

• Provide on-call support for existing applications.

• Assess project work to identify risks to project quality and

timeliness.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in

Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,

Mathematics or Physics and three (3) years of experience in the job offered

or three (3) years of experience performing software development of

distributed applications in JAVA within a financial services environment;

or, alternatively, a Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in

Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,

Mathematics or Physics and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or

one (1) year of experience performing software development of distributed

applications in JAVA within a financial services environment. Candidate

must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing distributed,

low-latency, high throughput applications using Java in Windows and Linux

environments, along the Software Development Lifecycle utilizing MVC Design

Patterns, Test Driven Development and Agile Methodologies; DE developing

responsive web UI’s utilizing JavaScript framework JQuery.js, and Client

Side technologies - HTML5, Spring, and CSS3 - for Web Pages; DE developing

Server Side Components utilizing Java and C# languages; DE designing Client

Side software that consumes Restful JSON Web Services using Eclipse and

Visual Studio.
