Shutterstock, Inc. seeks a Manager, Databse Administration in New York, NY

Duties: Manage database development in support of our ongoing Business

Intelligence operations. Specific duties include: report, analyze, graph,

and manipulate massive datasets quickly and efficiently in relational data

stores; work with product owners, business owners, and Agile teams to help

them gain access to data and advise them on business intelligence issues;

execute Extract/Transfer/Load (ETL) processes using SSIS to extract data

from MySQL and load the data into the Company’s warehouse; write stored

procedures to aggregate statistics; design, implement, and automate data

processing systems to improve our internal processes.

Education Requirement: Master’s degree in computer science, information

systems, or a related field (willing to accept foreign education

equivalent).

Experience Requirement: Three years of experience as programmer analyst or

data analyst responsible for SQL programming and performing ETL using SSIS.

Alternative Requirement: In lieu of Master’s degree and three years of

experience as listed above, will accept a Bachelor’s degree in computer

science, information systems, or a related field, or the equivalent, plus

five years of experience as programmer analyst or data analyst responsible

for advanced SQL programming and performing ETL using SSIS.

Special Skills: Applicant must possess demonstrated ability to:

• administer and manage MS SQL Server;

• design and program C# scripts for processing datasets;

• utilize MS SSIS for data extraction, transformation, and loading

data from disparate data sources;

• perform data-warehousing or dimension modeling for analyzing and

reporting business data; and

• perform advanced transact SQL programming and performance tuning

capitalizing on SSMS, SQL Profiler, and Database Engine Tuning Advisory
