Job Description:

Responsible for assisting in investment strategy and the asset-liability

management (ALM) efforts for the Company's Insurance Group portfolios,

including developing and monitoring investment and derivative strategies

to maximize risk adjusted returns and control investment risk. Other

responsibilities include: management of assets to liabilities,

developing appropriate portfolio investment policies and hedging

strategies, interfacing with the actuarial modeling team, managing

asset-liability management priorities and supporting Insurance Group

business initiatives, product development and pricing from an investment

perspective.

Requirements:

Bachelor of Arts/Science in Economics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics or

related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) as well

as 5 years experience performing actuarial services for life insurance

or pension plans.

Also requires:

Demonstrated expertise in analyzing data and actuarial assumptions and

modeling liabilities in accordance with professional Actuarial Standards

of Practice (ASOP); Demonstrated expertise using Excel and VBA to

develop models and perform investment/actuarial calculations, and

knowledge of Prophet and PTS. Must have MAAA and FSA designation and a

strong knowledge of assets and derivatives.
