Job Description:

Participates in the design and coordination of large and complex

systems. Conducts tool configuration review to drive customer

configuration, identify Engineer to Order (ETO) and addresses and

resolve open issues to meet on-time deliverables. Conducts production

build operation meetings to meet revenue and system shipments. Provides

monthly KPI metrics for tools and projects. Lead New Project

Introduction projects and participates in Product Life Cycle phase for

new products. Conducts weekly Engineering Change Masters (ECMs) reviews

with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) for new and sustaining projects and

provides action plans to implement and cut-in. Coordinates cross-

departmental teams to ensure accuracy of engineering requirements and

designs, and the successful manufacture of the product. Creates and

maintains routings and bills of material in SAP. Creates ECMs for

customer configurations leveraging AUTOCAD for gas schematic diagrams

and other documents. Develops and coordinates test and verification

tasks to be realized throughout the development and acceptance stages.

Develops and maintains schedules for the development, parts procurement,

assembly, test and verification, customer visits, factory acceptance,

and final installation of arsenic phosphide (As/P), Metal Organic

Chemical Vapor Deposition (MOCVD) and associated equipment. Identifies

and mitigates risk factors in engineering, operations, and manufacturing

that may impact achievement of the on-time system delivery. Interfaces

between management, customers, suppliers and specialty engineers in the

systems development process. Participates in Product Life Cycle projects

for the implementation of new products into production. Provides a

single point-of-contact from the receipt of the customer order to the

final factory acceptance of the system by the customer.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Master’s degree (or equivalent foreign education) in Mechanical

Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials

Science, Physics or a related field and 3 years of capital equipment

design experience in the semiconductor, vacuum equipment, or automated

equipment market.

OR, in the alternative:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent foreign education) in Mechanical

Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials

Science, Physics or a related field and 5 years of capital equipment

design experience in the semiconductor, vacuum equipment, or automated

equipment market.

Special Requirements:

(1)Demonstrated expertise managing cross-functional projects

spanning disciplines including Electrical Engineering, Mechanical

Engineering, Materials Engineering, and Software Engineering;

(2)Demonstrated expertise operating Metal Organic Chemical Vapor

Deposition (MOCVD) equipment featuring complex automation or wafer

carrier Transport systems and High Vacuum Reactor technology;

(3)Demonstrated expertise planning, reviewing, coordinating, and

implementing engineering projects and product design phases for

compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer

contract requirements, and specifications; and,

(4) Demonstrated expertise leveraging analytical and quantitative skills

to perform data analysis and system build scheduling using hard data and

metrics to back up assumptions.
