The Accounting Clerk role offers an exciting opportunity to become an integral part International Construction Company. Located in Fairfield, New Jersey, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term temporary position. In this influential department, there is a possibility for further career growth and advacement. The Accounts Payable Clerk duties will include matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, and processing checks. Key responsibilities - Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed - Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling - Provide customer service to internal business partners - Perform full-cycle A/P - Carry out additional projects as required - Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis - Provide support during internal and external audits - Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department - Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed - Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred - Microsoft Excel experience desired - Prior experience in an A/P role preferred - Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds Accountemps matches highly skilled professionals with accounting finance jobs at the best companies on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
