The Accounting department at DeSales supports the efforts of what it takes to engage Catholics in their faith. Considering the combination of strategic, compliance, reporting, policing and support efforts, we cover a lot of ground. We support and manage the financial activity of several internal departments and associations with related companies. We ensure the financial health of the company in order to best serve our mission and our diocese. Who You Are As the Staff Accountant, you bring over 3 years of Accounting experience (preferably with a mix of non-profit industry experience) to independently support the backward looking side of our business (ie. Monthly Close, A\R, A\P, Audit and Financial Reporting). You have employee and customer empathy that you can project across the company. You fancy yourself a process and financial controls stickler who has made improvements in the accounting area. You've worked with tested financial controls and have improved the monthly close process to ensure financial integrity. Your Responsibilities

• Report to the Accounting Manager
• Work on the Monthly Close, A\R, A\P and Financial reporting processes
• Collections and aging analysis and reporting
• Fixed Asset accounting
• Management reporting to Sales, CFO and other Sr. Management
• Bank reconciliations
• Audit participation and support Requirements
  • 3+ years experience
  • BA in Accounting degree required with a career path
  • CPA or MBA preferred, but not required
  • Experienced Accounting Professional with process improvement experience
  • Microsoft suite of products with strong excel
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving environment that is constantly changing by new initiatives
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to all audience types
  • Demonstrated detail orientation and organizational skills
