Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the Senior Business Development Manager will lead supplier relationships and negotiations for our major categories of business. This is an ideal role for a business savvy business developer who can identify and create opportunities to improve the customer experience with our supplier counterparts for our e-procurement platform.
What You'll Do

  • Prospect and reach out to suppliers to highlight the value of Varis opportunities.
  • Manage entire sales process.
  • Research technology, industry, and competitive trends, to understand how Varis is positioned. Share research and insights with team and identify actions based on insights.
  • Articulate opportunities for Varis to create additional business value. Support colleagues in execution of business value proposition.
  • Take lead in managing negotiations.
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders including technical implementation team, product innovation, customer success, marketing, finance group, etc.
  • Help establish the playbook for a growing business.
  • After product launch, develop post-deal governance and executiion plans. Responsible for managing the category, P&L, KPI and metrics driven decision-making.
  • Work with our product teams to create a world class experience for our suppliers, and work with those suppliers to improve their business and profitability.
    What You'll Need
    • Bachelor degree is required. MBA is an asset.
    • 6 years or more in business development and/or complex consultative sales.
    • Comfortable working directly with the Sr. Executive level
    • Consultative sales or Business Development experience in Saas/eCommerce industry is required.
    • Experience in business services is preferred (whether buyer or supplier-side)
    • Familiarity with Statement of Work and partner agreements
    • Experience in strategy, business development, ROI/ P&L, and negotiation.
    • Superior communcation skills
