Corporation Senior Accounting Manager Position Summary This
position is responsible for reviewing all bank reconciliations,
audit prep work for outside auditors, budget preparation and
analysis of the general ledger. Position is also responsible for
preparing all affiliate financial reports and review to ensure all
mortgages, utilities and payrolls have been recorded. Essential
Duties and Responsibilities: Core duties and responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. --- Ensures
all affiliate general ledgers agree to the most current annual
audited financial statements --- Liaison to the Auditors --- Review
all NEBHDCo properties financials --- Advise Executives on revenue
and expense disbursements --- Assist Property Management on
Financial issues --- Reviews receivables on a monthly basis and
reviews past dues and potential write offs with the Controller ---
Prepares the monthly financials and ensures all monthly charges are
posted --- Provide transfer of funds between accounts base on
accounts needs --- Ensures that the Finance Department has copies
of all mortgage statements and any other financial agreements that
involve the allocation of expenses to affiliates --- Prepares a
schedule of expenses that require accrual on a monthly basis ---
Ensures all reserves are being paid and that the Finance Department
has a copy of the reserve documents and calculations --- Prepares a
monthly schedule of reserves that highlights any affiliate that has
not met the reserve requirements, together with a written
explanation --- Obtains most recent tax returns and audits and
maintains files in the Finance Department --- Assist with the tax
planning and compliance with all federal, state, and local,
corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes --- Works with
Controller on tax returns and audits for all the affiliates and
maintain a master schedule of due dates for each affiliate ---
Interfaces with funding sources and their auditors, CPA's,
insurance firms, leasing companies, taxing authorities, banks,
consultants, vendors, etc. --- Ensures all balance sheet items are
reconciled on a monthly basis and have supporting documentation ---
Reconciles all intercompany balances on a monthly basis ---
Analyzes balance sheet items on a quarterly basis --- Ensures that
financial reports are GAAP compliant --- Reviews and approves all
bank reconciliations on a monthly basis --- Reviews all general
ledgers and prepares any necessary journal entries --- Analyzes the
budget to actual on a monthly basis --- Prepares and reviews cost
allocation of expenses --- Post all cash receipts in FUNDEZ. ---
Analyze and reconcile posting of receivables in NEBHDCo---s books
versus Yardi--- --- Allocate salary and expenses to programs budget
line as needed --- Presents to the Directors of Programs, as
needed, the financials, necessary budget modifications and status
of receivables --- Submit ARKER Claims for salary reimbursement ---
Prepares the monthly vacancy loss report --- Reconciles the
Mortgage statement at year end --- Prepares Month end closing ---
Match all balances with G/L --- Bank reconciliation (Payroll & All
Reserve accounts) --- Performs special assignment as needed
Qualifications: --- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College
or University; or three to four years related experience. ---
Accountable for processing and managing the A/R and A/P processes
and procedures, and preparing correspondence and documents for
implementation and updates associated with accounting. Calendaring
of deadlines related to company business taxes, licenses, permits,
& A/P payments made to vendors to ensure positive credit status &
timely processing, as well as for A/R & collections regarding
customers--- accounts & reporting. --- Ability to work
independently, prioritize workload and deliver quality results on
time while working on multiple projects simultaneously. --- Plan,
delegate, and organize tasks to consistently produce results, with
minimal supervision --- Proficient on Yardi and FUNDEZ Programs
Required By Position. --- Acute attention to detail. --- Strong

standards. --- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Development Corporation (NEBHDCo) was incorporated in January 1985
as a 501-C (3) not-for-profit organization with a mission to
provide affordable rental housing to low-income residents of
Central Brooklyn, with an initial focus on advocacy through block

grant from the New York State Housing Trust Fund Corporation to
develop a 16-unit limited-equity cooperative utilizing a Community

organization, as well as nearly 17,000 square feet of commercial
space throughout the central Brooklyn community. This volume
represents over $109 million in capital investments, and has

preservation efforts have focused in a catchment area consisting of
four neighborhoods in Brooklyn: Bedford Stuyvesant (Community
District 3), Crown Heights (Community District 8), East New York
(Community District 5), and Ocean-Hill/ Brownsville (Community
