- For Analyst role:
- The Analyst in Strategic Planning will have responsibility for
researching key inputs and assumptions for analysis and conducting
data, financial, and economic modeling. The candidate will monitor
and analyze industry trends and support the evaluation of the
performance and prospects of existing and potential businesses. The
purpose of the business analysis is to provide actionable insights
and support management decision-making in our regulated business
areas and other opportunities for potential growth.
- The Analyst will monitor and analyze industry trends and
support the evaluation of the performance and prospects of existing
and potential businesses.
- Conduct strategic review of existing regulated businesses as
well as other businesses under consideration and continuously
assess the industry landscape.
- Provide modeling and analytic breakdown to help evaluate growth
opportunities and advise CEI management on major project
proposals.
- Take supporting roles on cross-functional project teams and
perform data analyses and modeling in areas related to technologies
or scenario development or other areas of the Company's long-range
planning efforts.
- Develop insights on industry and societal trends and
participate in ongoing long-range planning work related to both
regulated and competitive businesses.
- Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.
- For Senior Analyst role:
- The Senior Analyst in Strategic Planning will have primary
responsibility for researching key analysis inputs and conducting
data, financial, and economic modeling. The candidate will
independently monitor and analyze industry trends and evaluate the
performance and prospects of existing and potential businesses. The
purpose of the business analysis is provide actionable insights and
support management decision-making in our regulated business areas
and other areas of potential growth.
- The Senior Analyst will independently monitor and analyze
industry trends and evaluate the performance and prospects of
existing and potential businesses.
- Conduct strategic review of existing regulated businesses as
well as other businesses under consideration and continuously
assess the industry landscape.
- Problem solve and provide independent modeling and analytic
breakdown to evaluate growth opportunities and advise CEI
management on major project proposals.
- Take supporting leadership roles on cross-functional project
teams and perform data analyses and modeling in areas related to
technologies or scenario development or other areas of the
Company's long-range planning efforts.
- Develop insights on industry and societal trends and
participate in ongoing long-range planning work related to both
regulated and competitive businesses.
- Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree and two years of work experience (for Analyst
1H role) Or
- Bachelor's Degree and three to five years of work experience
(for Senior Analyst 2L role) Preferred Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Economics (or Finance), Engineering,
Mathematics, or Policy (including environmental and
sustainability-related areas). and two years of work experience
that includes Economics, Engineering, or Policy (for Analyst 1H
role)
- Bachelor's Degree in Economics (or Finance), Engineering,
Mathematics, or Policy (including environmental and
sustainability-related areas). and three to five years of work
experience that includes Economics, Engineering, or Policy (for
Senior Analyst 2L role) Required Work Experience
- Demonstrated value-added accomplishments within an operating or
support organization. Required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Excel,
Power Point, Word, Outlook, etc.). Required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to structure problems and solutions, and the ability to
work independently. Required for Analyst role. Required
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, flexible to handle multiple

- Ability to structure problems and synthesize data into

- Data analysis or financial modeling experience relevant to
forecasting. Required for Senior Analyst role and preferred for
Analyst role.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, flexible to handle multiple
assignments and projects, and meet deadlines. Required for Senior

- Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a
System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
