Job Description:

CFR's Blavatnik and Robina Franklin Williams internships give selected interns the opportunity to receive training in the area of foreign policy; as well as skills training in areas such as writing, research, and program planning. -The intern will be exposed to the business side of Foreign Affairs magazine from the production of all its products to the creation of its budget, expense tracking, and revenue channels. The intern will help gather new ideas for strategic project work, and help create and document new processes that improve the magazine's products and flows. -CFR internships are paid, require a 14 - 18 hour commitment, and are filled on a rolling basis. -CFR's fall internship program gives interns the opportunity to choose whether to work in our office in a hybrid capacity (half in the office, and half remote), or on an offsite fully remote basis. -

  • Assist in the production of the magazine and the distribution of supporting products;
  • Updating reports related to department finances and operations;
  • Tracking expenses related to manufacturing and distribution;
  • Assist with the daily operations of the team by tracking production expenses, paying vendor invoices, and updating inventory reports.
    • Undergraduate student, majoring in economics, marketing, business administration, finance, or other related field -
    • Students should have completed the equivalent of four semesters of college coursework (not including AP classes in high school) by the time they begin an internship
    • Past relevant internship experience is a plus
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills
