countries.Our Financial Services audit practice is seeking an Audit
Manager to join our team. As an Auditor in this practice, you will
serve as a member of the engagement team providing audit services
to registered investment advisers, asset managers, investment funds
(registered and private), and related investment vehicles; and
assist in developing the asset management practice of
Mazars.Professional Responsibilities:Understand the asset
management industry and recognize business trends, emerging
industry and technical developments and key performance drivers
impacting clients' business. Business development skills, and
prospecting abilities will be key.Collaborate to plan audit
objectives and determine an audit strategy that appropriately
addresses risks in the asset management industryEstablish the
expectations of the audit team and value of client services to be
deliveredProvide guidance and participate in the performance of
audit procedures that impact complex or specialized issues facing a
clientIdentify accounting and audit risks using US GAAP, GAAS, and
PCAOB auditing standardsManage all engagement fieldwork to ensure
quality service and timely delivery of resultsSuccessfully manage
the engagement team against the budget and alter budget if
requiredAssist with managing client engagement administrative tasks
including staffing, billing & collections, and ensure profitability
targets are metAnticipate and address client concerns and escalate
issues to engagement partner as they ariseParticipate in the
development and professional growth of other audit staff through
knowledge sharing, on-site training, timely performance feedback,
and other firm initiativesServe as a trusted advisor to clients'
and begin to identify opportunities for expanded servicesDevelop a
strategy for successful long-term professional relationships and
centers of influence to effectuate business growthEnsure
self-professional development with technical specialization and
on-going educationQualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in
Accounting or a business-related field of studyMaster of Science in
Finance or MBA is a plusActive CPA license5-7 years of current or
recent experience providing financial audit services to the asset
management industry (RIAs, funds, etc.) in a large professional
services firm in Boston, MassachusettsKnowledge of audit, custody
examinations, agreed upon procedures (i.e. assurance-related
services) for the asset management industryKnowledge of US GAAP,
GAAS and PCAOB auditing standardsKnowledge of IFRS is a
plusKnowledge of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and Investment
Company Act of 1940 is a plusAbility to broadcast to the
marketplace, target prospects, and build relationships to support
business developmentDemonstrated success leading teams and
mentoring other audit staff on multiple client engagements
simultaneouslyStrong computer skills including proficiency with
Microsoft Office applicationsA strong record of developing and
sustaining profitable client relationshipsExcellent interpersonal
and communication skills (both oral and written)Excellent
analytical, organizational and project management skillsAbility to
work extra hours as needed and travel to various client locations
