  • Technical training and business development workshopsMore Than a JobWe're hiring for an Audit Manager - Real Estate in our New York City office. Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:
    • Detail review of audits, reviews and compilations for clients in various industries including but not limited to Real Estate
    • Review financial statements and disclosures for appropriateness in form, content, completeness, and accuracy
    • Review required communications to the client, ensuring their completeness, accuracy and compliance with Firm and professional guidelines
    • Advanced technical knowledge of accounting and reporting standards
    • Identify audit and risk management issues and propose potential solutions through research and collaboration with Quality Review and Engagement Partner
    • Stay current on technical and industry developments and standards while evaluating potential impacts on their client engagements
    • Review audit procedures, workpapers and financial statements of staff with limited supervision from Partners
    • Conduct research, consult with team members, draw conclusions and prepare memos based on target issues
    • Oversee Seniors and Staff coordinating the day-to-day duties of planning, fieldwork and wrap-up
    • Detail review financial statements, workpapers and evaluate internal controls
    • Primary client contact and liaison for complex issues that staff are unable to resolve; communicate effectively with clients and develop positive relationships with client personnel
    • Communicate with Partner on work status and client issues that arise
    • Perform a detail review of team's workflow and monitor tasks that are assigned and completed on a timely basis
    • Supervise, train and mentor audit staff
    • Take a lead role in client and team meetings and contributes new ideas and strategic initiatives
    • Stay current on technical and industry developments and standards while evaluating potential impacts on their client engagements
    • Participate in firm's marketing and recruitment efforts including candidate assessmentMinimum Qualifications
      • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
      • 5+ years' experience in a similar role
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Prior experience managing engagements and clients
      • Ability to work independently and also work well with others
      • Advanced knowledge of a minimum of 1-2 industry areas which the firm servicesPreferred Qualifications
        • CPA License or on track to obtain
        • 2+ years' supervisory experience
