About The Company

Our client, a rising family office in the healthcare world, is responsible for multi asset class investments, cash management, and provides financial and tax reporting. As an Assistant Controller, you will be subjected to various family office functions including accounting, investments, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain books and records for staff, trusts, and investment entities
• Account for all investments and activity across all entities
• Prepare quarterly reports and investment plan review
• Handle investment requests, capital calls, distributions, subscriptions, and redemptions
• Set up accounts and respond to custodian, trading, and banking requests and notifications
• Assist with day-to-day operations, cashflow management, and budgets
• Monitor sales and use tax requirements on purchases and sales
• Track collectible purchases and sales
• Prepare sales and use tax returns
• Assist with tax return information flow and documentation submissions
• Manage and track large capital projects
• Assist CFO with various projects
  Requirements
  
  • 5 - 7 years private equity or hedge fund accounting/operation experience, within a fund and/or in public
  • CPA preferred
  • Strong Excel skills and communication skills
  • Good at multi-tasking and working in fast paced environment
  • Self-starter, team player
