Individually and together, we treat all of our clients with respect, compassion, and understanding.The Collections Specialist for out of network provider is responsible for analyzing follow up & preparing denial appeals to insurance companies. The Collections Specialist will also assist with research and take actions necessary to resolve issues with claims and improve collections. Primary Job Responsibilities:Responsibilities include but are not limited to--- Appealing denied claims and keeping records of insurance documents and filed claims. -- Identify errors for correction and resubmission to insurance companies.-- Analyze Explanation of Benefits, denials, and understand copays, coinsurance, deductibles, and denial codes. -- Prepare and submit insurance claim appeal letters.-- Coordinate and document status of appeals until final resolution of the denial. -- Track and monitor increases in revenue from appeals process. -- Follow up on open and pending insurance claims and payers to facilitate uninterrupted cash flow. -- Document the status of action steps taken to resolve outstanding claims. -- Follow up on payment errors, low reimbursements, and any claim denials.-- Identify problems with intake utilization review, collection systems, and consult with Ownership and Management regarding potential solutions.-- Understand the regulatory issues surrounding collections. -- Contact insurance companies to check eligibility and benefits. -- Report to the Financial Recovery Manager. -- Answer questions and attempt to resolve issues presented by Ownership and Management, as appropriate.-- Comply with local, state and federal confidentiality laws and regulations.-- Collaborate with professionals both within and outside the agency, as appropriate.-- Demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences. -- Abide by SOBA New Jersey's code of conduct and model values.

Qualifications:-- Bachelor's Degree preferred-- 1 year of experience in Out of Network Collections required -- Strong oral and written communication skills-- Computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook-- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, and multitask-- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team-- Experience providing proficient customer service. -- Excellent problem-solving skills.PI181035119
