  • Provides financial aid oversight necessary to meet the reporting and reconciliation requirements for all federal, state and institutional student aid funding. 1. Conducts audits of student financial aid records in accordance with internal and external audit requirements. 2. Completes FISAP, AOR similar federal reports. 3. Develops and implements policies and procedures consistent with best financial aid practices. 4. Performs Department of Education verification procedures for the Pell Grant and Federal Direct Loan programs; exercises professional judgment as necessary. 5. Works with the IT Department to install, field test and implement new financial aid software programs developed by federal, state and private agencies. 6. Oversees repayment of Federal Nursing Loan funds by graduates to the Medical Center. 7. Plans, organizes and carries out projects as necessary for new and existing financial aid programs. 8. Provides analysis of trends and financial reports for use in school planning and budget forecasting projects. 9. Prepares reports for federal and state agencies, as well as other Medical Center departments, relating to student financial aid. 10. Follows up on delinquent accounts in tandem with the Bursar/Financial Aid Officer. 11. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations and coordinates implementing of regulations with the other members of the Enrollment Management team. Organizational/Managerial 12. Oversees Bursar's Officer to assure the appropriateness of his/her counseling of applicants and students on budgeting issues, default management and availability of financial aid. 13. Reviews documentation collected and prepared by Financial Aid Officer for accuracy and completeness 14. Supervises entrance and exit interviews conducted by Financial Aid Officer for all prospective borrowers. 15. Supervises the student billing process each semester. 16. Collaborates with Finance Department to assure compliance with all regulatory requirements. 17. Participates in the department's performance improvement activities. 18. Maintains patient/employee confidentiality in the management of information. 19. Observes the Health Care System's compliance policies. 20. Establishes a system to assure that the confidentiality of student information is maintained. 21. Coordinates schedule to meet needs of school enrollment management activities. 22. Demonstrates a professional, courteous, and respectful attitude in dealing with patients, families and significant others. 23. Displays courtesy, tact and patience during interactions with all members of the hospital/school staff and extended community. 24. Works closely with the Student Services office to assure coordination of activities. 25. Makes presentations on campus relating to financial aid services. 26. Develops collaborative relationships with federal and state financial aid organizations. 27. May be required to perform other duties as assigned or perform other duties when necessary. Requirements:
    • Master's degree preferred. Bachelor's degree and/or five years of appropriate experience is required.
