Job Description:

The role is a 1 year consulting and 2 days' hybrid onsite with the client. This is a long term role and a contract. Candidates need to be in NY to go onsite 2 days a week.Business overview:The GFS-US Department is within Group Compliance responsible for the overall supervision and coordination of the Group's effort to comply with U.S. and other international sanctions and embargoes. In performing this function, GFS-US may coordinate with other relevant functions within Group Financial Security responsible for risk assessments, monitoring systems and suspicious activity monitoring and reporting. The Finance and Communications Associate oversees many topics and therefore should be flexible and adaptable. The Chief Operating Officer (COO) team has responsibility for all GFS functions including the general administrative management, budget, project management, human resources, IT requirements, communications, reporting and operational permanent control. They will be involved in analysis and synthesis of procedures, process maps and data privacy results to produce registers of processing for key Compliance processes. The analyst will participate in active follow-up, tracking and reporting as well as ensuring data privacy awareness and visibility for top management. The candidate will gain an in-depth understanding of Compliance processes related to US Sanctions and work with a large number of local and Group stakeholders. The individual in this role should have a high degree of governance acumen, a deep understanding of operational risk and risk analysis skills. In order to be successful in this role, the individual will need to demonstrate aptitudes in interactions with senior and junior stakeholders and have high attention to detail. The candidate must be comfortable adapting in a fast-paced environment and have experience distilling complex information into clear next steps. Data Processing Analysis & Documentation:Acquire a good understanding of GFS US processes in order to consolidate and document processing and data processing in register of processingAnalyze procedures, process maps and data privacy assessments to draft data processing descriptionsCollaborate with stakeholders to support international data transfer requirements completion Governance & Awareness:Develop close partnerships with GFS US team management, GFS Paris, Group Compliance Data OfficeLead productive meetings with stakeholders to ensure validation of deliverablesProvide contribution for GFS US in committee meetings, narratives and obligationsContribute to team governance via projects or improving documentation Minimum Required QualificationsBachelor Degree3-5 years of professional experience, ideally in operational risk, audit, Data Protection, GDPR, Data Privacy or process or data mappingStrong understanding of procedures, data flows, controls and governance processesSound analytical skills and attention to detailA fast-track learner, self-driven and self-motivatedAbility to consolidate information from disparate sources to compile a concise overviewStrong project milestone tracking and deliveryExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with executives, managers and subject matter experts Preferred Qualifications:Project management experience/ certificationAdvanced level PowerPoint, Excel, SharePointPrior experience in IT is beneficialFrench fluency a plus
