based in New York is $158,200 to $237,400, range will vary if
outside of this location. - Base salaries are determined during our
interview process, by assessing a candidate's experience, skills
against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities
of the position.Position SummaryThe position of Finance Director,
American Whiskey & Agave is a critical role in Pernod Ricard USA,
concentrating on 4 core areas:
- Overall business performance monitoring for the American
Whiskey & Agave brands; identifying and bringing solutions for key
risks and opportunities
- Managing the brands internal and external planning cycles,
driving efficiency and effectiveness through the process, together
with resource allocation
- Manages the relationship with PR USA Field, Paris HQ, and brand
founders
- Develop a best-in-class team, driving clear responsibilities,
development and career planning (c. 4 people)This role plays a
pivotal role to help drive the execution of the commercial and
marketing plans. - - -Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities1)
Be the analytical engine of the American Whiskey & Agave team
- Responsibility for the preparation and analysis of annual
budgets, forecasts, and long-range strategic planning process for
the brand unit
- Understand business environment to properly identify potential
financial implications, ensuring timely and accurate information is
available for key executive decision-making
- Track the monthly performance, recommend actions and mitigation
plans2) Enabling business partners for an agile and collaborative
organization
- Drive efficiency, managing the relevant teams through the
Management Planning Cycles
- Build sustainable, efficient and effective systems in (i) ways
of working and (ii) processes3) Manage the Brand Unit Resources
- Identify potential brand growth terrains / opportunities and
make resourcing choices to drive optimal return
- Analyze brand spend vs. budget/LE and previous year. - Provide
monthly analysis and identify key drivers of variances, while
looking for efficiency and effectiveness improvement4) Preparation
of strategic documents and presentations for PR USA senior
management, board meetings, and other higher level strategic
discussions.5) Special projects and assignments as required.6)
Manage and develop direct reports, with clear development plans and
career mapping.Nature & ScopeThe role consistently works with
executives, senior leaders and mangers across the company. -
Primary responsibility is to develop and oversee the execution of
the brand strategic plan, take actions related to R&O based on
brand performance drivers and market context. -The position is
recognized for the mastery of all aspects of financial and market
performance management (analytics, reporting and budgeting) and is
a key strategic business partner to sales & marketing. - Due to the
materiality of the financials (topline and marketing budget),
errors in judgment can be significant.Working relationship and
communication all levels of the PRUSA and PR affiliates with a high
level of confidentiality and discretion.Embrace cross-functional

conviviality.RequirementsEducation: -Requires an undergraduate
degree in either Finance or related fieldExperience / Background:
-Minimum 10 years of experience with aCPG/Consulting company and a
working knowledge of the principals of finance and marketing.Key

- Strong people management skills, including the ability and
desire to lead, support and develop direct reports
- Excellent communication skills; ability to interact and provide
recommendations to senior stakeholders;
- Detail orientated strategic thinker
- Highly analytical, with ability to use the power of facts to
bring insight & make clear finance recommendations & commercial
decisions
- Thorough approach with high level of accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, deadline driven
environment, while managing numerous work streams simultaneously to
tight timelines
- Able to confidently interact with non-finance departments and
with brand founders; understanding their key requirements and
tailoring financial data to satisfy these requirements
- Strong influencing skills, proactive in challenging &
influencing the business based on insight, knowledge and fact
- High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint & Finance
