The recruiter will provide additional details.OverviewThis position, a client services representative within the client services team, within the Japanese Corporate Banking East (JCBE) department is responsible for interacting with clients and processing and entering transactions in the bank Core Systems, ensuring transactions are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and industry standard practice and taking due diligence. The product services include in commercial lending, deposit, trade finance, investment and treasury preparing various instructions and reports, assisting clients and RMs on transactional inquiries and legal document preparation and performing administrative functions. The current workstyle of JCBE is hybrid working from home and going into the office two days weekly.This position has three primary areas of responsibility:Corporate Client Services Administrative Functions Special Projects & other assigned dutiesYou will also maintain a full understanding of the bank's internal policies and procedures relevant to the job responsibilities, acquire knowledge and keep abreast of overall banking operation and products as well as the financial market conditions.ResponsibilitiesCorporate Client Services (70%)

  • Service JCBE Corporate clients to take transactional instructions to execute loans, investments, FX deals, trade finance activities and deposit products within standing procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of new/renewal loan transactions via direct communication/negotiation with customers and accurate instructions to Administration Group.
  • This will follow bank policies, procedures and accounting principles. You will develop, maintain, work to broaden and deepen a close relationship with clients through daily contact and good serviceAdministrative Functions (20%)
    • Perform operational risk controls and clerical administrative functions on daily basis in compliance with the standing procedures and policies, support relationship managers providing operational related data and respond to their inquiries.
    • Update and maintain a variety of databases, retrieve data to produce reports, conduct analyses and respond to client and management inquires.Perform other duties as assigned by Department Head and Management (10%)
      • Participate in the bank wide and/or department related projects, operational enhancements, system upgrades, procedure updates, etc.
      • Assist with State, Federal and Internal audits, investigating and providing solutions for past due and pending items, supporting RMs in CMS promotion including telephone marketing and preparing various account related agreementsQualifications:
        • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
        • 4+ years of client services experience and 3 years of commercial lending and deposit product services and administrative experience
        • Strong knowledge in accounting, laws, regulations and market practice for commercial products
        • Strong management skills, excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and an ability to interact with all levels of management and able to foster close and collaborative productive working relationships across the organization
        • Strong organizations skills, disciplined planner and implementer with sound strategic judgment, thinking and vision
        • High degree of professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information. Strong work ethic, ability to make decisions, & work under tight deadlines
        • Advanced skills in MS Office and banking applications
        • Ability to collaborate effectively and strategically with customers, business partners and peers throughout the enterprise
        • Bilingual Japanese and EnglishThe typical base pay range for this role is between $65,000K - $75,000K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
