Job Description:
The Associate Director, Financial Applications partners with the
Finance units to ensure the successful rollout of all Finance
projects and initiatives, business process redesign, and business
change management needs and priorities are appropriately addressed.
This role leads the NYU IT Financial application development and
technical support teams. The Associate Director develops status
reports, identifies and tracks issues, and keeps Finance and NYU IT
management abreast of all Finance projects. This position is
responsible for developing and implementing short and long-term
strategic plans to meet the University's objectives in information
technology and administrative services. The individual in this role
keeps informed of the latest technology trends and leverage new
technology where beneficial and appropriate. The Associate Director
optimizes Financial applications and support processes to meet the
business needs of the NYU community. This position supervises two
employees.Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree preferably in Business Administration
Required Experience:
5+ years of professional level experience in project/ program
management and business process redesign. and 10+ years of
experience with a focus on Financial systems and processes.
Preferred Experience:
7+ years of prior experience in the Higher Education Industry.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Demonstrated expertise in financial systems, financial business
processes, application development/support, integrations, and
infrastructure in large-scale institutions. Excellent written and
verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively and
collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including senior
leadership. Strong orientation toward service and collaboration.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to lead and
establish direction in times of ambiguity.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledgeable about Finance Business Needs, Systems and Processes.
Agile/Scrum or PMP certification. Demonstrated expertise in
PeopleSoft Financials and applications development and support.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base
salary range for this position is USD $135,000.00 to USD
$185,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not

equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when
extending an offer.
