The introduction of transferable tax credits under the Inflation Reduction Act will redefine the tax equity markets over the coming years. NRG's customers pay billions of dollars in taxes to the federal government each year and are in a prime position to participate in this new market. The successful candidate will work with NRG customers (primarily Fortune 500), renewable energy developers, major banking institutions and other key partners to facilitate the execution of tax credit purchase agreements between the NRG customers and relevant counterparties. NRG currently leads the industry in innovative offsite renewable advisory and will use the existing customer base and infrastructure to accelerate the growth of the advisory practice. -Key Responsibilities:

• Work with Renewable Advisory origination team to secure new tax equity clients for NRG
• Help developer advisory platform and service offerings -
• Craft and implement transferable tax credit strategy for NRG clients
• Network with developers and other tax credit owners in a continued effort to secure credits for NRG customers
• Create appropriate model or work with developers to optimize their models in an effort to increase transferable tax credit availability
• Diligence assets and tax qualification status for NRG customers and create brief summaries with finalized results and NRG recommendations
• Support NRG clients in the negotiation of transferable tax credit purchase agreement
• Work with all tangential parties (e.g. insurance providers) as necessary to ensure the success of the projects
• Be accountable for client satisfaction, operational excellence, team performance and engagement and new business development within your areas of influence
• Provide mentoring and training to junior team members, as they execute project delivery under your direction.Desired Background:
  • 7-10 years' experience direct work experience in renewable energy Finance / Tax Equity markets
  • A self-starter with an innovative and problem-solving mindset
  • Superior communication skills (verbal, written, presenting etc.)
  • Extensive experience executing corporate renewable energy financing or other relevant activities.
  • Experience modeling, negotiating contracts, solving problems with few resources, educating stakeholders and other such tasks.
  • Bachelor's Degree with focus in Sustainability, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Statistics, or Economics desired. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is a plus.Other:
