The Accounting Manager will be assigned to work with a variety of
clients from both charter schools and non-profit organizations. The
role serves as the day-to-day Accounting Manager for our clients
and requires strong communication skills, project management
skills, knowledge of accrual and cash accounting, as well as being
organized and team-oriented. The Accounting Manager actively
manages all aspects of finances for multiple clients. In this
consulting role, the Accounting Manager regularly exercises
independent judgment on client financial matters.
Although the scope of work is different for every client, the
Accounting Manager will be responsible for the team's day-to-day
Work Assignments, Team Management, and Client Consulting activities
as well as other tasks and duties outlined below.
Your Duties:
1) Accounting
Monthly Close
- Monitor and analyze revenue and expenses.
- Collect, consolidate, and evaluate financial data.
Audit
- Review, consolidate and prepare the schedules for annual audits
in collaboration with outside audit firms.
Payroll
- Review and approve payroll
2) Finance
Analysis and Reporting
- Summarize and report on the current financial status.
- Review and analyze financial forecasts, balance sheets, profit
and loss statements, and other financial data.
- Draft annual budget.
- Draft financial reports
3) Team Management
- Manage the work of the accounting team responsible for
day-to-day accounting, payroll, financial analysis and reporting,
and audits.
- Support client team by coordinating work assignments and
answering questions.
- Conduct on-the-job training.
- Provide performance feedback for assigned client
resources.
- Escalate changes in organizational leadership, the scope of
work, and financial trends to the CSBM client lead.
- Maintains internal controls and guidelines for accounting
policies and procedures, transactions, and financial data.
4) Client Consulting
- Manages multiple clients both virtually and on-site as
required.
- Engage and consult with client leadership and their staff on
financial management.
- Participate and present at Board meetings.
- Serve as the point of escalation and resolution for day-to-day
client service and delivery matters.
- Manage and execute the full scope of audits for multiple
clients.

You Should Know:
- Microsoft Office 365
- Proficient in Excel
- Bill.com, Anybill
- QuickBooks, Intacct, FundEZ, or similar accounting
software
- Payroll Management Software (ADP, Paychex, or similar)

- Confidentiality - Maintains client confidence by keeping

Your Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 6+ years of accounting, financial reporting, and financial
management experience.
- 3+ years prior experience managing and prioritizing the work of
direct reports or project team members.
- Prior management of multiple projects and clients is
preferred.
- Prior experience working in a non-profit required.
- Prior experience working in a school, or socially responsible
organization is preferred.
