Senior Billing SpecialistLaw FirmMidtown-Hybrid$90-110 Base + Bonus/Amazing Benefits!Midsize boutique labor, employment, and employee benefits law firm in midtown NYC is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Billing Specialist with a background in the legal industry. The Senior Legal Billing Specialist, under the leadership of the Director of Finance, will work with the accounting team and attorneys throughout the Firm to coordinate all billing-related related activities throughout the organization in a paperless environment. We are looking for a technically competent candidate that is an excellent communicator, professional, highly organized and possesses stellar administrative skills.Responsibilities:Primary duties include pre-bill generation, reviewing bills including split bills and joint bills to ensure that rates are accurate, editing and finalizing client invoices, preparing cover sheets, emailing bills to clients, new matter opening, generating system reports and preparing Excel-based reports as needed. All members of the Finance Department will be cross-trained to assist their team members when necessary. We depend on great teamwork and collaboration.Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years prior legal billing experience preferably with Elite, Aderant or SurePoint (Rippe)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organizational and follow-thru skills
• Be able to exercise a high level of discernment, accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to function independently
