Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation is hiring a Vice President in the Loan Workout Group.Manage a portfolio of non performing mainly project finance credits across various industries including customer contact, preparation of applications, reviews, credit alarms and KYC.Interface with agents, borrowers and co-lenders as well as the Credit Department during workout negotiations and restructurings.Conduct appropriate due diligence and apply sound judgement to effectively manage workout activities. Provide recommendations and advice to relevant parties during loan workout negotiation process to support the effort to maximize economic returns on problem loan giving verbal presentations when required/appropriate.Prepare U.S. Loan Loss Reserve regulatory reports and self assessments including DCF valuations . Ensure regulatory and internal ratings are accurate and reflect the current risk profile on each relationship in accordance with regulatory and bank policies.Effectively communicate necessary workout activities with senior management in a timely fashion.Prepare materials for annual audits from internal departments such as Credit Review and Internal Audit as well as audits by external regulatory bodies.Keep abreast of industry developments and best practices through external research, contacts and industry group participation.Assist with providing training to new or more junior members of the team or other department initiatives.experience in either credit ; portfolio management ; or workout in international or large commercial bankability to analyze risk for large corporate or structured dealsknowledge of US corporate law; filings and loan documentation. Knowledge of US regulatory ratings; Shared National Credit; OCC guidelines and bank regulation. BA/MSC - MBA/CFA would be advantage
