**About Credit & Fraud Risk Finance**
Credit & Fraud Risk Finance team delivers fact-based, decision-driven and high-impact Net Loss Provision forecasts and credit-risk related insights through deep analytics. The key objective is to drive prudent financial decisions and support credit-risk strategies while ensuring adherence to governance and controls. This position will be part of a highly talented team with strong intellectual curiosity. The CFR Finance Decision Support is a project-based team committed to providing insightful analytics and informed recommendations to drive profitable growth.
**How will you make an impact in this role?**
???????This LFO manager position joins a dynamic and collaborative team that supports Risk Management in evaluating strategic decisions focusing on Global New Accounts and Lending. We provide analysis to link risk actions to customer behaviors and credit metrics and drive credit-related analytical insights to key partners across the enterprise including Finance LFOs, Marketing and Investment Optimization, Collections, Product, and of course Risk.
Youll influence and inform cross-enterprise strategic decision-making by performing nuanced analytics on card member and segment behavior as well as peer and industry trends, always keeping in mind profitability expectations and impact to losses.
Youll evaluate actions/initiatives that span multiple businesses and produce cost/benefit analyses that quantify how the initiatives will increase revenue or reduce credit write-offs to inform prioritization of investment dollars.
Youll drive awareness of data / insights / market / portfolio trends across businesses and proactively identify opportunities for analysis.
Youll extract forward-looking insights that guide planning and forecasting assumptions within Risk Finance and across Corporate Planning.
Youll contribute to our positive team culture by sharing knowledge and feedback with your colleagues, actively engaging in team discussions, and sharing ideas for how to continuously improve our collaboration and culture.
**Qualifications to be Successful in the Role:**
Analytical Skills think critically and creatively about our business to identify opportunities for analysis, manipulate large amounts of data, decipher trends, and generate meaningful insights
Strong communication and interpersonal skills - comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization and driving results in a cross-functional team environment.
Flexible, high energy team player lead with a can do attitude, manage multiple projects at once, and work within tight timelines. Welcoming to feedback, comfortable with ambiguity, and highly motivated self-starter
Leadership Develop subject matter expertise and share knowledge with colleagues and partners, build relationships, make decisions quickly & influence change, drive results and build lasting connections between our team and our business partners. Actively leverage your Amex network to link and label our work to other teams across the enterprise
SQL knowledge and programming skills preferred, but training will be provided if required.
Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
