assisting with the recommendation process related to the buying,
selling, or holding of financial securities and/or studying the
role of government in the economy. Key responsibilities include
performing financial and statistical analyses, conducting research,
preparing reports, helping to originate, structuring and modeling
transactions, and assessing market trends. Job expectations may
include rotating through a specific product area or sector to gain
exposure to the business.The Aerospace and Defense team currently
covers 32-listed companies across subsectors and adjacencies within
the aerospace and defense sector including the commercial aircraft
OEMs, defense prime contractors, the supply chain, defense
services, "new" space, future air mobility plus several others. In
addition to coverage of publicly traded companies, the team
regularly vets a number of private companies for potential IPOs.The
candidate for the position should be intellectually curious and
have a deep desire to learn and have an interest in Aerospace and
Defense and the inner workings of US national security. Given the
team's large and growing coverage and fast pace nature of the
aerospace and geopolical/national security information cycle, the
candidate should also have some experience with financial modeling
and quantitative analysis, as well as strong verbal communication
and writing skills. The ideal candidate possesses experience in
aerospace/defense/industrial research. Further, the candidate
should possess experience with company modeling and have a passion
for following the stock market.The candidate will work alongside
their Senior Analyst and Junior Analyst peers in all aspects, from
idea generation to company meetings, including but not limited to
the following:
