Job Description:
This short-term temporary position involves supporting AML and
Sanctions Compliance Audit Teams in executing audit coverage,
designing and conducting audit tests, and assisting in delivering
comprehensive audit reports. The role requires expertise in
BSA/AML, OFAC/Sanctions, regulatory compliance, and strong
communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders and
ensure timely completion of audit plans.Client DetailsOur client is
a major foreign banking & financial institution located in Midtown
New York City. The organization offers a range of financial
services to corporate clients, institutions, and individuals,
leveraging its global network and expertise in cross-border
transactions. They are actively searching for one (1) consultant
for a short-term assignment within their Compliance Audit Team.
DescriptionThe Compliance Audit Consultant will be responsible for
the following:
- Lead the execution of audits for AML and sanctions
programs.
- Develop and implement audit tests for the AML program, adhering
to approved audit procedures and surveys.
- Perform assigned audit tasks, including executing approved
audit programs and questionnaires.
- Track and validate outstanding audit issues, providing direct
oversight as needed.
- Collaborate with business and compliance managers to resolve
control issues promptly.
- Utilize experience as a bank examiner, auditor, consultant, or
compliance professional with expertise in BSA, AML, and OFAC.
- Ensure documentation meets analytical procedures to support
audit standards and regulatory expectations.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills,
capable of presenting complex issues to senior management
effectively.ProfileThe successful Compliance Audit Consultant
candidate should have the following background:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
- At least 3 years of experience in roles such as bank examiner,
auditor, consultant, or compliance professional.
- CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) or equivalent
audit certification is required.
- Strong understanding of BSA (Bank Secrecy Act), AML (Anti-Money
Laundering), and OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control)
regulations.
- Experience in executing audit programs, including designing and
implementing audit tests.Job OfferThe offer for the successful
