As the regulatory landscape for financial services becomes increasingly complex, this role is critical in ensuring our global compliance, ethics, AML, sanctions, and fraud programs remain robust, transparent, and independently validated. You'll deliver proactive assurance and insight to help our business meet its regulatory obligations, uphold ethical standards, and safeguard our global reputation. Candidate must be able to endure the HOT SEAT and clean up AML/BSA policies, procedures & process while entertaining the OCC and regulators.

Your Responsibilities

Strategic Audit Oversight

Lead global audit coverage of Compliance and Financial Crimes programs (AML/BSA, OFAC, FCPA, ABC, conduct risk, regulatory compliance).

Person will manage AML/BSA groups. Write Policy & procedures within a global payments environment including Debt, Pre-paid cards, Credit Card, High Risk Clientele.

Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance practices across all lines of defense.

Advise senior leadership and the Audit Committee on compliance risk trends and control environment.

Must be able to meet, communicate and manage OCC regulatory requirements and meet with regulators to ensure program success.

Be able to handle intense day-to-day operations

Manage a team of 10+ including AML/BSA/OFAC professionals

Leadership & Team Management

Lead and mentor a global team of audit professionals specializing in AML and compliance.

Drive modernization initiatives through data analytics and continuous assurance.

Oversee strategic projects and ensure audit coverage aligns with regulatory expectations and enterprise risk priorities.

Stakeholder & Regulator Engagement

Foster trusted partnerships with Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Financial Crimes leaders-while maintaining audit independence.

Serve as a key contact during regulatory exams and internal governance forums.

Provide impactful recommendations to executive leadership on enhancing compliance programs.

Audit Innovation & Execution

Shape the internal audit plan for AML and compliance areas.

Champion a risk-based approach to audit, aligning with global standards and emerging risks.

Collaborate with 2nd line functions and ensure appropriate IT risk coverage in audits.

Data-Driven Assurance

Build an insights-driven audit team leveraging data analytics and continuous monitoring.

Create a Center of Excellence for regulatory compliance analytics.

Identify enterprise-level risks and analytics that improve risk mitigation and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Business, Finance, Law or related field (Master's or JD preferred).

15+ years in internal audit, compliance, risk management, or financial crimes.

Certifications such as CAMS, CPA, CIA, or CFE are highly desirable.

In-depth knowledge of BSA/AML, OFAC, FCPA, SEC/FINRA, and global regulations.

Familiarity with audit technologies, analytics, and monitoring tools.
