Position at The Center for Avian and Exotic Medicine

Center for Avian and Exotic Medicine is looking for a Part-Time Customer Service Representative to join our exceptional team. We are a thriving bird and exotic pet practice located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, NYC.   • Experience in veterinary hospital preferred
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and ensure accuracy of payments, record entry, etc.

  • Ability to communicate with employees and clients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ability to solve problems Job Overview:

    As a Customer Service Representative your smile and enthusiastic greeting are what sets the tone for the client's visit. You will be on the 'front line' of our customer care team assisting clients on a daily basis, making sure their needs are not only met, but exceeded.
    • Answering phones
    • Schedule appointments and surgical procedures
    • Check-in/out clients
    • Handles basic client complaints
    • Monitor and manage client flow from check-in to discharge
    • Proficiency in the veterinary practice software utilized daily
    • Proficiency in the online platforms used for appointment management
    • Assist in cleaning the hospital including but not limited to: keeping reception desk area and lobby clean and sanitary, keeping over the counter product shelves neat and clean
    • Process payment transactions
    • Handle end of day accounting needs
    • Maintain proper documentation in the electronic medical record
    • Handle administrative duties including communication with vendors
      The ideal candidate will be a reliable strong team player, organized, computer literate, possess a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, dependable, friendly, outgoing, and self-motivated.
