Incumbent will manage the Chairperson's strategic planning initiatives, project management, program development and assist Chairperson with department administrative support services. May represent the Chairperson at selected meetings with staff, students, senior university administrators, as well as consultants. The incumbent will also have oversight for all ongoing projects supporting the Chairperson's agenda to ensure that all are effectively moving according to plan objectives and established milestones and measurement criteria. Analyze a variety of institutional data and prepare summaries and recommendations for the Chairperson; conduct research on a myriad of topics and synthesize and summarize information for the Chairperson to facilitate decision making. Design, develop and manage website. Assist with the development of marketing plans. QualificationsRequired Education:Bachelor's degreePreferred Education:N/ARequired Experience:3 years' relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience managing office operations, managing budgets, supervising staff, planning and implementing special events and activities, and collecting and analyzing data. Experience designing and managing websites.Preferred Experience:Experience in an academic or corporate environmentRequired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Proven ability to handle multiple priorities under deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving skills. Ability to develop, implement, and interpret policies and procedures and effectively communicate sensitive information verbally and in writing to a diverse population. Good judgment, tact, diplomacy, discretion, and ability to maintain confidences are essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Ability to be creative and flexible in response to complex work situations. Ability to manage budgets.
