A trusted partner to our clients, we provide corporate and transactional banking; commercial real estate lending and servicing; investment banking; equity; and fixed income solutions including sales, trading, and research capabilities to corporate, commercial real estate, government, and institutional clients across the globe.The Control Senior Associate data strategy position is a critical role within the CIB Risk and Control organization. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Understanding the enterprise requirements for the enterprise data governance policy and program (including any local requirements in the regions)
  • Understanding the enterprise tools and technologies that support these programs and how they interconnect
  • Correlate COSO, BCBS 239, and other relevant data standards and methodologies to CIB reporting, analytics, and data strategy processes
  • Evaluating the current state in executing these programs across CIB (including the regions) and identifying gaps and opportunities for enhancement
  • Designing/enhancing the end-to-end processes and documentation (procedures, consistent templates) for CIB's full execution of these programs (lasting and sustainable)
  • Providing training/ongoing education to all levels of the CIB (and regional) organizations to support successful execution
  • Executing the component parts of these programs that fall within our mandate
  • Lead/Participate in critical projects and forums at the CIB and international levels to provide input/influence target state of these programs and address critical issues
  • Lead/Participate in additional projects and critical initiatives, at the direction of the Policy and Regulatory Change Management LeaderEmployees support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.Required Qualifications
    • 5+ years of experience in risk management or 5+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 3+ years must include direct experience in risk managementDesired Qualifications
      • 1+ year of risk and regulatory compliance experience
      • 5+ years of process definition and documentation experience
      • 5+ years of process design or improvement experience
      • Change management experience
      • Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change
      • Ability to create new reports based on management, audit, or regulatory requirements
      • Ability to identify inefficiencies, opportunities to streamline business processes, and implement change
      • Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management
      • Ability to influence and collaborate at all internal organizational levels
      • Ability to influence executive decision-making and successfully negotiate critical issue resolution related to program initiatives
      • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
      • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
      • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
      • Knowledge and understanding of audit, regulatory compliance, or risk management
      • Ability to create and deliver dynamic presentations
      • Ability to translate and present complex data in a manner that educates, enhances understanding, and influence decisionsOther Desired Qualifications
