Marketing Manager - Skin Care

Job Description:

This position is responsible for managing base business processes for skincare brands including advertising and in-store animation development, creative promotional support, competitive analysis, pricing and promotional strategy, social media management, oversee on-going inventory and manufacturing management, forecasting and planning, education, and public relations support for all markets worldwide. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing growth strategies and executing marketing plans to ensure continued growth of portfolio/brand/franchise
  • Interacting with regional marketing teams to ensure follow through on execution of all details of marketing programs including media campaign, digital/social media initiatives, sampling, in-store animations.
  • Managing creative process including: promotions, and collateral material development; copy approval; submission and follow up with Legal department.
  • Tracking and reporting industry trends and competitive product positioning.
  • Management of brand-level social media channels, including global coordination and reporting
  • Coordinating consumer and clinical product testing and extraction of key claims
  • Developing selling and training materials with sales and training teams.
  • Working with Creative to implement marketing direction on brand level displays and various collateral items.
  • Managing brand visibility in promotional and in-store merchandising displays.
  • Spearheading worldwide communication of brand strategies and marketing initiatives.
  • Leading and managing the full product life cycle from ideation, concept development & validation, formula and package development, clinical & consumer testing and launch
  • Analyzing base business performance and changes including phase-out decisions, reviewing obsolete inventory levels and lost revenue implications
  • Analyzing and reporting all pertinent costs on finished goods, samples and collateral. Knowledge, Skill and Education:
    • 5+ years in prestige beauty marketing experience; global skincare experience strongly preferred.
    • Strong leadership, and team management skills; 1+ years managerial experience
    • Strong analytical and PC skills; Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, NPD Powerview
    • Ability to collaborate successfully and build relationships with cross-functional team and external vendors/agencies
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to clearly articulate and present strategies, recommendations and results
    • Strong attention to details balanced with ability to see the big picture and think strategically
    • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Fundamental understanding of the digital ecosystem and how web, mobile, social, search and e-commerce channels work together. Understanding of integrated marketing and the role digital plays in the marketing mix is required
