Responsibilities

The marketing manager proactively plans, develops and implements marketing strategy and content initiatives in alignment with go-to-market plans and relevant industry/service line business plans.--They work closely with partners, team leaders, subject matter experts, marketing colleagues and others to understand target markets, conduct topic-related research and recommend effective marketing strategies. They plan and develop a wide array of content to support demand generation and multi-channel campaigns, thought leadership, webinars, sponsorships, events, speaking engagements, e-mail marketing, presentations, advertising and press releases as well as develop and maintain effective sales collateral and practice-specific content. This is a hands-on, proactive role in planning, managing, writing content, executing tactics and analyzing various content results. The position requires strong writing skills, experience in content marketing and understanding of digital go-to-market strategies.-- Primary Duties:--

  • Proactively plan and develop informative, engaging, and persuasive content that is in alignment with go-to-market and growth plans and meets the needs of target audiences/buyers
  • Develop, reuse or tailor content to effectively and efficiently meet the needs of each project
  • Define and develop appropriate content strategies and tactics needed to execute specific the plans/playbooks
  • Manage complete, up-to-date and consistent industry and service content across various forms
  • Manage and implement a wide range of content to support go-to-market activities such as thought leadership, webinars, digital advertising, social media, events and sponsorships. This also includes developing and maintaining marketing collateral, website content, proposal and presentation content, and standard pitch-books/templates
  • Work with subject matter experts and manage the development of industry-focused content and thought leadership materials, such as whitepapers, articles, hot topic alerts, case studies, client testimonials, video scripts and other forms
  • Work closely with leaders and subject matter experts to:
  • Collaborate and manage marketing strategy and content initiatives
  • Understand and employ client insights, industry research and information, competitor insights, etc.
  • Develop and share ideas and best practices
  • Discuss business issues and thought leadership topics, proactively make relevant management recommendations
  • Share industry and service marketing strategy and content insights and knowledge
  • Discuss marketing strategy and content results
  • Collaborate closely with marketing colleagues to:
  • Align content with go-to-market plans
  • Establish industry/service differentiation
  • Effectively leverage marketing shared resources and planning tools
  • Innovate, share, and implement best practices
  • Research business issues, industry topics, market developments, and service trends
  • Develop marketing strategies, positioning and key messages that will guide the creation of content assets and support the execution of go-to-market initiatives
  • Integrate topic research, target audience insights and competitive data in marketing strategy and content work
  • Identify events, associations and sponsorships aligned with business plans and growth strategies
  • Develop content needed for sponsorships and events and contribute to pre-show planning
  • Provide direction and guidance to assigned staff in the performance of their roles, establishing work priorities and in achieving stated goals
  • Participate in professional organizations, independent study, etc.
  • Integrate new knowledge, skills, and best practices into daily work and share with colleagues as appropriate
    Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree required
    • 5 to 8 years of related work experience required
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated content marketing skills and experience writing informative, engaging, and persuasive content is required. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff from entry level to partners and work well in a team-focused environment. High level of attention to detail
    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field, minimum of seven (7) years marketing experience required
    • Prior marketing management experience in a professional services environment preferred
    • Solid understanding of content marketing. Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, business-related social media, Salesforce.com and marketing automation tools preferred
    • Excellent planning skills, strong understanding and use of results data to improve work
    • Strong grasp of marketing principles, including marketing automation, CRM, social media, online and native advertising, and other digital marketing
    • Excellent people skills, enthusiastic attitude, and ability to build relationships
    • Effectively work under tight deadlines, manage projects independently, and be resourceful in addressing challenges and solving problems
    • Strategic thinker with superior professionalism, judgment, and strong work ethic
