The Opportunity

As as Account Director (Social), you will be:
Leading top-tier accounts with complex workstreams delivering on business goals for clients and working with team members to deliver top-notch service daily
Acting as point of contact for senior clients and cultivating long term relationships
Managing all aspects of account health and profitability from budgets to contracts, allocations and more
Developing long term relationships with senior clients and executive teams through strategic counsel, managing challenges and bringing proactive ideas to the table
Synthesizing industry trends and translating them to actionable, proactive ideas for clients and teammates
Identifying and pitching incremental opportunities to grow business and additional opportunities
Leading agency development programs for staff, new business and culture initiatives

About You

Requirements

Experienced: You have about 8-10 years of experience in public relations, communications and/or client service in a related field in an agency environment. You've led accounts with multiple workstreams. You have experience working with other departments to deliver great work. You can still be hands on with content management and other day to day deliverables. You have experience pitching new business, building and presenting decks and are comfortable in these environments.

Flexible and Adaptable: You're willing to jump in and help others no matter the task or level! While we aim for work-life balance, you understand at times you may work irregular hours as dictated by client deliverables and manage to achieve work/life balance with strategic time off.

Ethics and Integrity: You approach all work ethically and honestly, setting an example for your colleagues. You do the right thing, even when it's hard taking responsibility and being accountable for actions and apply these standards to those around you.

Curiosity: You're a curious person, dig in, interrogate assumptions, ask questions and are committed to understanding our clients' businesses.

Excellent Communicator: You're able to synthesize complex ideas and connect them to opportunities and solutions. You can think on your feet and communicate effectively under tight deadlines and senior stakeholders. You know how to stay positive, but be factual in your email communication and in person.

Relationship Builder: You strive to develop, maintain and strengthen partnerships with others including colleagues, clients, vendors, partners and media. You work collaboratively with teammates and peers across departments to deliver the best quality work.

Proactive Problem Solver: You can see hiccups before they happen and know that being proactive keeps clients happy and employees engaged. You get excited at the prospect of a new challenge and have ideas ready to go. You stay informed and think creatively whenever possible.

Teacher & Mentor: You enjoy mentoring junior staff and developing their skills alongside yours. You're able to take complex ideas, synthesize and reframe them for team members. You can be an advocate for team members while being fair. You're comfortable delivering both positive and critical feedback honestly and with support.
