the possible – and do it.The GHMC Senior Account Executive will be
responsible (50%) for supporting day-to-day operations of Global
Health Marketing & Communication (GHMC), the world's largest and
most robust independent partnership of healthcare agencies. In
addition, candidate will assigned to an interwoven client team
(50%) to support all client initiatives which may include
advertising, scientific and data milestones, branding and
positioning, digital and social strategy, corporate communications,
clinical trial recruitment, internal communications, KOL
development, advocacy relations, executive visibility, approval and
launch communications, patient and HCP engagement and public
affairs. This person will have a strong understanding of the
healthcare landscape, exceptional organization and communication
skills, and the ability to work across functions and levels within
the agency to deliver high quality materials to their clients.
Ability to understanding clients' needs and drive collaboration to
deliver on these needs are critical factors for success in this
role. Job ResponsibilitiesGHMC Network
- Day-to-day engagement with GHMC leadership team and global
partners to advance Strategic Plan
- Support team in network growth activities
- Help facilitate and execute training webinars
- Branding and marketing activities, content development
including social media channel support
- Liaise with Spectrum teams across all practice areas to ensure
successful completion of global and multi-market client work
- Manage coordination with partners to ensure client/team
deadlines are met; quality check partner work as required and
provide additional expertise and support
- Work with business development team and partner agencies to
support proposal development including desk research (healthcare
industry, disease awareness, etc.)
- Information integrity and upkeep – including client and
prospect databases and case study library
- Annual General Meeting (AGM) planning, logistics and promotion
support
- Coordinate with operations and PM teams to manage vendor
contracts
- Manages monthly meeting minutes for global and regional calls;
follows up with stakeholders on action items as needed
- Contributes to the development of GHMC's editorial calendars,
social media and thought leadership content
- Is able to build an understanding (or leverage existing
understanding) of diverse audiences, markets and ways of working
across different geographies and adapt to client and partner
needs
- Oversee junior team member/s and provide constructive
feedbackClient Team:
- Utilize understanding of client industry focus, therapeutic and
competitive landscape (understand marketing, strategies, key
players) to determine best approach for client work
- Oversee and execute media monitoring. Develop monitoring
protocols based on client needs
- Develop Scientific Communication materials (press releases,
fact sheets, backgrounders) and determine if there is a need to
bring in Knowledge Centers as needed
- Coordinate review of materials and own the client submissions
process
- Oversee, review and present (if appropriate) research across a
variety of platforms and develop key takeaways
- Plan and execute client events logistics as assigned
- Help create team alignment through dialogue, summarizing
information, ideas, and next steps
- Direct team and Knowledge Centers with development of social
media content and channel community management. Pull through brand
knowledge when reviewing content including nuances with tone when
needed
- Facilitate media outreach activities including development of
pitch letters, media lists, outreach, results report, etc. by
working with Knowledge Centers
- Oversee vendor relationships
- Meet deadlines and adhere to team norms and effectively
communicate to team members and supervisors
- Review and understand Spectrum's Playbook
- Grow junior team members through delegating and providing
constructive feedback
- Provide and analyze research to inform on new business
insights
- Review materials for consistency, accuracy, and proper use of
grammar and correct errors as found Desired Skills and
Qualifications
- Obtained a Bachelor's Degree in communications, marketing,
English or similar major
- Has at least 2-3 years of experience working in an agency
setting, including experience in healthcare and science
- Experience in similar, relevant field will also be
considered
- Possesses advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook,
PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and familiarity with media tools (e.g.,
Cision, MuckRack, HootSuite)
- Maintains client service-oriented mindset and work ethic across
both Spectrum and GHMC client work/requests
- Has excellent organizational skills and is able to manage
projects simultaneously
- Possesses strong analytical skills, is able to synthesize
market research, health/consumer science industry news and
information efficiently and effectively and deliver information to
senior teams and clients
- Understands research and referencing processes
- Has an understanding of the overall media mix and ways in which
we reach our target audiences (paid/earned/social/owned)
- Focuses on extreme attention to detail
- Exhibits a professional demeanor
- Ability to excel in a team environment as well as work
independently
- Demonstrates resourcefulness, independent thinking, and
effective problem solving
- Showcases excellent written and verbal communication
skills
- Foreign-language skills as well as experience working or
studying in international contexts are preferred but not
