Job Description:

A New York City financial services firm is currently seeking an experienced professional to join their staff as their new Vice President, Marketing & Client Relations (MCR). In this role, the Vice President, Marketing & Client Relations (MCR) will be responsible for raising new funds and maintaining relationships with new and existing investors.Responsibilities:The Vice President, Marketing & Client Relations (MCR) will:

  • Support the entire fund lifecycle, including fundraising, pre-marketing, and LP communications
  • Work collaboratively with investment teams and various teams within the fund to create and maintain presentation materials, investor reporting, thought leadership, and other investor communications
  • Lead business development initiatives and strategic planning for new fund launches (including co-investments), production of presentation materials, and private placement memoranda
  • Oversee responses to investor queries and due diligence questionnaires
  • Prepare marketing materials such as PPMs, Fund overviews, and presentations with input from the Investment teams and Senior Management
  • Produce talking points, ad-hoc presentations, and strategic projects
  • Monitor prospect lists during a fundraise and accurately reporting regularly to Fund Managers and Senior MCR Management
  • Provide deep product knowledge and expertise on funds throughout lifecycle; act as product spokesperson internally and occasionally externally
  • Build an understanding of the strategy and the underlying market and be able to effectively communicate this to the rest of the MCR Team
  • Source and analyze industry research related to supporting fundraising strategy and rationale
  • Understand and analyze industry trends and competitive landscape
  • Analyze past and current funds versus market benchmarks and communicate these findings both orally and in written marketing materials
  • Serve as player-coach to analysts and associates and contribute to positive team culture
  • Perform other duties, as neededQualifications:
    • 5+ years of relevant professional experience at an Alternative Investment and/or Alternative Investment Placement firm
    • Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree
    • Commercially and financially literate, with strong understanding of financial markets and private market funds.
    • Leadership and strong project management capabilities with demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
    • Microsoft Office Suite proficient (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
    • Solid analytical and problem solving skills
    • Great interpersonal skills
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Highly organizedDesired Skills:
      • CRM system (Salesforce) experience
