The position will be responsible for maintaining top of the line, unique, forward-thinking social media presences for several different brands, each with their own distinct personality and voice. He/she will assist in development and execution of organic social media strategies across all social platforms creating compelling messaging that encourages engagement, drives traffic, and increases awareness. This candidate should have experience in scheduling posts/ads and social moderation that is on brand, as well as a baseline understanding of digital marketing both paid and organic. He/she will have an understanding of the social landscape, platform analytics and metrics to produce reporting that helps inform program optimizations and overall strategy. Superior time management skills are absolutely crucial as well as superb attention-to-detail, and strong organizational and communication skills. Culturally, we are looking for someone with a can-do attitude who is willing to take initiative and excited to support the marketing team in a fast-paced, growing company. *This position will include evenings, occasional nights and weekends and a good amount of time will be spent on-site in our restaurants creating content. Essential Job Functions: Serves as community manager for MHI portfolio of social media properties by monitoring all feeds, responding to and/or routing inquiries to the appropriate internal team, and facilitating conversations with our audiences to build relationships and enhance the sense of community. Ensures page guidelines are followed and loos for ways to continue growing our following. Also looks for opportunities to engage and insert MHI into conversations relevant to the brand. Manage social media editorial calendar process including review requests, develop calendar, create engaging and compelling content (including copy and visuals) that follow brand guidelines and voice, as well as scheduling content in publishing tool. Monitor social listening dashboards for actionable insights for stakeholders. Manage and grow social media advocate program among MHI management and staff. Support all social media efforts related to SMEs, including management of content calendar, execution of social media campaigns and reporting. Generate source codes to track the analytics on social media posts. Communicate and respond to all social media inquiries and posts to proper SME. Manage social data collection and interpretation of social media analytics, reporting and action items. Stay abreast of social media news, trends and best practices Education & Experience: Required Field of Study: BS degree in social media, marketing, communications, media relations or a related degree from an accredited university (or a personal portfolio equivalent of past proven successes) Minimum Years of Experience Required: 2+ years of marketing/social media experience Preferred Years of Experience: 3+ years of marketing/social media experience Description of Minimum Experience Required: Knowledge of social media management systems such as Sprout Social, Spredfast, Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Salesforce Marketing Suite, etc. Demonstrated experience building and growing social media communities. Understanding of all social media platforms, including but not limited to YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin both as a marketer and user. Strong writing, editing and communications skills, including understanding the nuances of writing for the different social media platforms. Ability to gather data and analyze results. Ability to work independently, set priorities and meet deadlines, and adhere to brand identity and editorial standards. Ability to work collaboratively with other teams and colleagues at all levels across the organization. Description of Preferred Experience: Using employee advocacy platforms like Bambu, Dynamic Signal, LinkedIn Elevate or similar. Understanding of owned, earned and paid media. Managing and executing Paid Media paid social, PPC, remarketing etc. Adobe Analytics or similar website analytics platform. Photoshop, Canva or other graphic design tools. Knowledge of and passion for emerging social media and content marketing trends and best practices. Non-profit or Association experience. Knowledge of Merchants Hospitality Food & Beverage properties.
