We're looking for a Head of Marketing to join our team in New
York, USA as part of our Marketing function.Key
Responsibilities
- Responsible for marketing strategy, planning and activity
delivery for Money20/20 USA to:
- Achieve stretching revenue targets across, including delegate
and SPEX, new business and retention
- Drive brand growth, deepen customer engagement and extend brand
leadership position in the region
- To create and execute marketing strategy (website, email,
social, biddable media, telesales, co-marketing partner plan, data
build strategies and outreach projects) for Money20/20 USA ensuring
this drive's widespread attendance, awareness and engagement of the
event. This includes growing the brand's reputation and long-term
value with our targeted delegates, sponsors, and media
audience
- To lead the marketing for Money20/20 USA, responsible for
managing the brand (within the global Money20/20 brand framework),
customer strategy and communication plan from inception through to
world-class execution.
- Achieve marketing goals and targets, identify the key target
audiences for each event, understand the product proposition and
key messages, and develop key targeting strategies for customer
personas.
- Own the customer experience/journey and all relevant marketing
touchpoints, from the website to advertising (email, digital,
social media etc), to on-site experiences, building a clear
activity schedule with required timelines, milestones and
budgets.
- Deliver customer segmentation and marketing strategy based on
strong understanding of the business and customer drivers, both
delegates and sponsors
- Work with all relevant stakeholders to source and develop
content to include in the upcoming campaigns, e.g. brand teams,
content team, partners and sponsors.
- Work alongside ED as brand guardian and serve as the main point
of contact with internal/external teams utilizing marketing
assets.
- Create content alongside the production teams for
delprom/com/spex/VIP emails, website, social media, DM, brochures
and additional collateral.
- Develop data acquisition strategy and targets, identify the key
customer/audience groups, set acquisition and build plans, project
manage key suppliers, implement data nurture journeys and report on
effectiveness and learnings
- Ensure all activities are completed on time and on schedule and
report on the performance.
- Create a partnership plan (including associations, professional
bodies & media partners); acquire and manage the relationship and
look after fulfilment of all agreements
- Develop and manage social campaign strategy across all relevant
channels and create a plan around influencer involvement in
collaboration with the PR team.
- Work closely with the PR team to manage press registration,
speaker interviews and onsite announcements.
- Work closely with the Marketing Director to execute global
campaign plans and report on activities.
- Ensure strong communication with the wider team at all times,
providing regular reporting of activity and KPI performance vs.
target, and meeting regularly to review activity, spend and
results, developing plans to optimize and mitigate as needed.Your
Experience
- Over 8 years' experience in B2B marketing - experience of
working in an events company would be advantageous but not
essential
- Strong track record of successful brand marketing - including
brand, creative development & storytelling, CRM, digital content
marketing, and PR
- Exceptional ability to manage relationships with internal
partners, including creative, digital and automation teams
- Experience in B2B lead generation, scoring and nurture,
marketing automation
- Experience of line management is essential - you know how to
get the most out of your Marketing Manager and together deliver as
a team.
- Experience with briefing and managing multiple agencies to
achieve Delegate and SPEX goals; inclusive of PPC, SPEX, PR,
telemarketing and data/research partners
- Maintaining all aspects of the USA marketing plan, staying on
top of all deadlines, and putting creative through the appropriate
channels and brand review platforms
- Owning the marketing metrics for the event, establishing a
regular reporting cadence, and using metrics from past events to
inform current strategy
- Experience with acquiring and managing multiple media partners
and extending brand reach
- Experience of effectively negotiating contracts
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking, and
structured approach to decision-making
- Commercially driven
- Good project management skills.
- Great team management skills
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences
and devising websites/ digital campaigns that engage, inform and
motivate.
- Prepared to do what it takes to get the job done; calling
contacts, fulfilling agreements
- Able to spot opportunities which others may miss and can strike
quickly, overcoming internal barriers to get results
- Can communicate with gravitas and has a real understanding of
brands and understands the importance of measurement
- Strong writing and negotiation skills, able to adapt tone and
content to a variety of different audience segments, in order to
attract, engage and influence
- Strongly results-focused, able to clearly demonstrate success
via proven metrics
- Good communication and presentation skills - able to clearly
and succinctly convey information and ideas in a manner that
engages the audience
- Proactive, initiating attitude - able to take prompt action to
accomplish objectives and goals beyond what is required, with the
energy and tenacity to address bottlenecks.
- Able to deal with ambiguity and work in a matrix organization
