Social Media Strategist -thelab is looking for a Social Media Strategist to join the team. The ideal applicant has -5 years of ad agency Strategy experience, with deep expertise in Social Media. An undergraduate degree in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, or media is preferred but not required.
About the role:

  • Hybrid work environment - Tues/Wed in the DUMBO Brooklyn office
  • Salary $75,000-$90,000 commensurate with experienceAbout thelab:

    About You:
    • You're a trusted partner for our clients and can guide them with social strategies that help them achieve their marketing and business goals
    • You work well across capabilities (creative, media, analytics), engaging with the larger team to create the overarching brand and social strategies that wow our clients
    • You develop social campaigns based on cultural research, audience insights, and the competitive landscape
    • You're an accomplished juggler, creating and maintaining Content Calendars for multiple brands and relevant social platforms
    • You love collaborating with creative teams to concept and execute social campaigns and assets while guiding them on social and content best practices
    • You're fluent in social media management tools like Sprinklr, Spredfast, Hootsuite, Sprout, or similar for responding to user comments and posts
    • You use social analytics tools like Facebook Insights, Crimson Hexagon, Topsy, Netbase, Simply Measured, or similar to generate actionable insights
    • You have exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, and can summarize insights to create easy-to-understand client-facing reports
    • You can work effectively with creative and agency leadership, and clients, to manage crisis issues
    • You serve as the point person for all platform reps to ensure the use of the most recent best practices, functionality, and ad formats
    • You refine existing social processes and content pillars, and identify ways to streamline
    • You have experience launching and successfully growing a fledgling community
    • You've got deep expertise with communities and platform-specific best practices on TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, Meta, Snap, and emerging platforms
