Job Description Copywriter, Success Academy Creative Agency Success Academy is the fastest growing and highest performing network of charter schools in the nation. Our mission is to provide children with opportunity, empower parents with choice, and offer definitive proof that zip code does not determine destiny. Since opening our first Harlem school in 2006, we have swiftly grown to 47 high-performing schools, from Bed-Stuy to the Bronx. - - The SA Creative Agency is looking for a strong writer to join our team. The role includes long and short format writing for projects spanning content and video for marketing, advocacy, e-learning, development, and academics initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong writing skills, a love for purpose-driven creative, uncompromising attention to detail and most importantly a great can-do attitude and collaborative spirit. You can balance both strategic and creative thinking to develop strong, effective ideas. You have a sharp view of the big picture. - The ideal candidate: - Has proven and exceptional conceptual copywriting skills Has range - Can be clever/ compelling/ funny/ witty/ emotionally charged as needed - while staying on-brand and on-strategy - Has experience writing for a variety of channels (i.e. scripts, social, crisp headlines, marketing) Has powerful storytelling skills Can distill complex ideas into simple, approachable language for a variety of audiences and channels Thrives in a fast-paced multifaceted organization Has extreme attention to detail, accuracy and fact -s Is a self-starter, positive, with a can-do attitude Enjoyment of working in a team-oriented and collaborative style with the ability to problem-solve Requirements: - 3-5 years experience across a variety of formats, ideally in an advertising or in-house agency team 5+ years of experience writing across channels (writing for video, social, content, collateral, ads, landing pages, and digital) with a solid track record of delivering big concepts and ideas and an outstanding portfolio to prove it. - Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple activities and prioritize conflicting demands while meeting deadlines Problem solves with enthusiasm The ability to address feedback quickly and collaborate effectively Great project and time management skills as you will be working with more than one brief at a time - Experience presenting ideas to clients, ability to clearly articulate your ideas - Bachelor's Degree - To join our team, please upload a cover letter and resume for consideration.
