Job Description:

Role:The communications/marketing specialist is responsible for overseeing the firm's communications and PR program, both externally and internally as well as managing the firm's social media platform. Responsibilities: Public Relations------------------Serve as firm's media contact and manage the firm's relationship with the public relations consultant.------------------Serve as the firm's point person for media inquiries (identify senior attorneys to respond to media inquiry).------------------Responsible for writing press releases, overseeing distribution, posting to the web site and communicating results to the Executive Committee.------------------Responsible for internal distribution of releases and press clippings to promote internal awareness campaign.------------------Strategize, implement and oversee firm/attorney placement in relevant directories, league tables and award nominations.--Including but not limited to Chambers, Benchmark, Law360, Legal 500, etc.------------------Strategize, implement and oversee promoting of the firms' conferences and seminars with local, legal and trade press.----------------------PR advice and input at practice group and industry meetings.------------------Identify and assess potential writing opportunities to ensure that they are in line with the group's goals. ------------------Develop and maintain strong relationship with business, legal and local press, trade associations and organizations to identify editorial, advertorial and media opportunities.--Also, oversee and coordinate with public relations consultant on opportunities.------------------Identify, strategize and coordinate the placement of "paid for" articles (e.g. Corporate Counsel) and monthly columns (e.g. Risk Management Magazine and The John Liner).------------------Strategize with newsletter editors and practice group heads to identify timely article topics for firm newsletter articles.--Oversee the creation, editing, production and distribution of the firm's numerous newsletters. ------------------Manage the firm's published works spreadsheet.------------------Manage the updates/changes to lawyer biographies on the website and ensure that articles are linked.------------------Maintain firm wide Style Guide Social Media/Digital Marketing: ------------------Implement and organize the firm's social media strategy, developing brand awareness, generating inbound traffic and encouraging product adoption.------------------Lead teams that create and publish content and maintain relationships with user communities on multiple platforms.------------------Report on the process of applying various social media tactics using a variety of digital analytics and media tracking tools.------------------Collaborate with internal marketing and public relations teams to support their respective missions, ensuring consistency in voice and cultivating an engaged social media community.------------------Create and manage Google AdWords campaign, this includes keyword research & development, and writing text ads.------------------Develop and implement a comprehensive and strategic roadmap for SEO designed to produce sustainable results that maximize search performance.------------------Engage with the audience on LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook to increase followers and boost engagement.------------------Analyze campaign results from Google Analytics and identified actionable opportunities.-- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:------------------College degree.--At least 2-5 years of marketing experience preferable in a law firm environment, professional services experience is a plus.------------------Proven track record with regard to developing and implementing marketing plans and business development activities.------------------Experience developing and writing proposals.------------------Solid research, analytical and project management skills as well as strong oral and written communications skills. ------------------Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with an eye for detail.------------------Ability to work under pressure and juggle several projects at one time.------------------Some travel required.------------------Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Google Trends, MailChimp, Hootsuite--and Interaction.
