$25.00 / Hour Full-Time Full Benefits Opportunities for Career Advancement SSP America is hiring a Maintenance Assistant to support our restaurant operations at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). What You'll Do You'll help maintain kitchen equipment, refrigeration systems, and facilities to keep our restaurants operating smoothly. Duties include but are not limited to: Responding to maintenance work orders and equipment issues Cleaning and maintaining espresso machines, filters, and fans (with required checklists) Cleaning ice machines every two weeks with documentation Performing refrigeration coil cleaning (GNG weekly, BOH bi-weekly) Inspecting units for caulking repairs and replacing bulbs as needed Cleaning fryer lines quarterly and supporting oil maintenance/removal schedules Performing weekly oil machine maintenance and grease trap cleaning Supporting annual power washing of oil drums Maintaining tools, storage areas, and maintenance records/checklists Qualifications At least 1 year of maintenance experience (restaurant or facilities preferred) Familiarity with refrigeration, kitchen equipment, or coffee equipment helpful Comfortable with physical work, lifting, standing, and working around kitchen equipment Benefits Competitive wages Paid training Employee meal program Paid time off Holiday premium pay Retirement plan with company match Medical benefits from $50/month Company-paid Life & ADD insurance Optional dental, vision, pet, accident, and other plans Employee assistance program Career growth opportunities SSP America is an equal opportunity employer.
