Interstate Waste Services, a leader in non-hazardous waste management in the U.S. Northeast region, is seeking a skilled B Mechanic to join our engineering and maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of waste management equipment and vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards. This role is crucial in helping us achieve our mission of offering reliable and sustainable waste management solutions. Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on waste collection and processing equipment Diagnose mechanical issues and determine necessary repairs Replace or repair worn or defective parts, using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment Conduct safety inspections of equipment and adhere to all workplace safety regulations Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and service schedules Collaborate with other team members to improve system performance and efficiency Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Proficiency with hand and power tools Ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics Welding and fabrication skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid driver's license ASE Certification (Automotive Service Excellence) is a plus
