Topic Manager - Total Societal Impact/Sustainability (The Boston
Consulting Group, Inc. - New York, NY) - Partner with TSI/SUS topic
leaders in the ongoing, professional management of the topic to
deliver Total Societal Impact Transformations spanning our clients
products and services, business operations, and corporate social
responsibility initiatives. Specific duties include: prepare topic
and practice leadership meetings and discussions; assist with the
development, execution and tracking of the topic strategy and
business development plan; support topic growth by monitoring the
state of the business (e.g. lead flow, proposal pipeline and sold
cases), reaching out to relevant CCOs/Partners, supporting road
shows and client events; assist with the development of client and
target plans and corresponding staff analysis; help topic
leadership identify and tap new sources of business; build our
capability and experiences in collaboration with the ECT and
Knowledge teams; map expertise, identify gaps and take action to
create/update relevant intellectual capital, proprietary
data/products and selling materials; drive the topics marketing
agenda in partnership with the Practices Marketing Manager; develop
a strategy for the topic and plan activities; monitor client
portfolio, consolidate plans and initiatives (e.g. campaigns) as
necessary working together with the Practices and Client Team;
support staffing on Tier-ones and execute budget monitoring, and;
support business development initiatives, including priority
proposals and selling materials, in partnership with ECT and KT
team. Requires a Bachelors degree in Business Administration,
Communications, or related field (willing to accept foreign
education equivalent) plus seven (7) years of experience in
providing management and strategy consulting services, or
alternatively, a Masters degree plus four (4) years of experience
in providing management and strategy consulting services. specific
skills/other requirements must also possess the following
(quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this
section unless otherwise stated): creating infrastructure and
leadership engagement forums for shared visibility and proactive
management of commercial pipelines; applying agile principles to
topic management, leveraging topic team platforms like Slack,
Trello and Egnyte to create transparency and foster collaboration
in product planning, product development and go-to-market; driving
awareness, engagement and affiliation through internal/external
events, calls, share of voice at meetings, communication, trainings
and topic team platforms; developing consulting offerings in a
leading-edge, change-oriented area and building out related digital
capabilities; mapping, identifying gaps, and creating or updating
relevant intellectual capital, proprietary data/products and
selling materials; two (2) years providing full-time client
services, including deployment within client sites; and one (1)
year in client-facing consulting services with a focus on
sustainability and social impact to deliver strategies and
operational improvement, and support business efforts. Travel
required (up to 30%) based on company/client need. M-F, 9:00 a.m.
