Job Description UX Lead Product Designer Location: Open to
remote- Occasional travel to client location in NJ Duration: Long
term Industry experience : Health Care/ Pharma Project
Responsibilities Lead multidisciplinary design teams — including
UX, visual, research, and content — to create cohesive, high-impact
product experiences that meet and exceed client goals. Translate
research insights and data into product concepts, interaction
models, and interface designs that balance user needs with business
goals. Effectively communicate concepts to clients and developers,
guiding everyone to align around the problem we are solving for the
user. Define, apply, and evolve design systems that enable speed,
scalability, and consistency across complex digital ecosystems.
Guide teams in designing for AI-enabled user experiences, ensuring
human values, safety, and usability remain central. Review and
refine design deliverables with a critical eye toward craft
quality, coherence, and accessibility. Present design work through
a user-centered narrative that builds empathy and aligns clients
around the “why” behind design decisions. Coach teams in
storytelling and facilitation, helping them communicate design
intent and influence outcomes effectively. Product Design
Craft-specific technical skills Software Skills and Tools: Advanced
use of Figma for design systems, prototyping, and collaboration,
including generative prototyping tools such as Figma Make . Adobe
Creative Cloud: Skilled in applications such as Photoshop,
Illustrator, and After Effects, with growing proficiency in
generative features such as Adobe Firefly and app-specific AI
tooling. User-Centered Design: Gather, synthesize, and apply user
insights to create meaningful, accessible, and value-driven
experiences. Interaction Design: Design intuitive and consistent
flows, leveraging established patterns while evolving them for new
contexts and modalities. Design Systems: Build and maintain
scalable systems of reusable components and tokens that unify
design and development workflows. AI in Design Practice: Use AI
tools to prototype, iterate, and explore creative directions more
efficiently. Designing for AI Experiences: Create transparent,
explainable, and human-centered interactions with AI-powered
features. Usability & Accessibility: Advocate for inclusive design
through adherence to usability heuristics and accessibility
standards (WCAG 2.2). Responsive & Multi-Platform Design: Design
adaptable interfaces across screen sizes, devices, and contexts,
ensuring coherence and performance. Information Architecture:
Structure content and interactions for clarity, findability, and
flow across complex systems. Prototyping & Testing: Create
interactive prototypes for validation and learning, integrating
user feedback to improve design outcomes. Visual Design &
Storytelling: Apply principles of composition, hierarchy,
typography, and motion to communicate brand, emotion, and function
clearly. Technical Literacy: Foundational understanding of
front-end languages (HTML/CSS) to support collaboration with
developers and inform practical, implementation-ready design
decisions. Broad design competencies & soft skills (mastered)
Client Relationship Management: Listens carefully to clients to
internalize their point of view, and responding thoughtfully to
feedback resulting in stronger client relationships and
understanding. Business acumen: Learns the nature of clients'
domains or businesses, the problems they bring, and the financial
implications of design decisions. Futures Thinking: Engages clients
and teams in envisioning and exploring potential future scenarios.
Understands evolving user needs and market trends to anticipate and
shape what's next. Analytical Skills: Able to gather, interpret,
and evaluate information to understand complex issues and make
informed decisions. Break down problems, identifying patterns, and
drawing meaningful insights from information. Design Thinking:
Engage and facilitate clients in a user-centric approach: discover
and understand user needs; define key pain points and
opportunities; brainstorm diverse solutions; rapidly prototype to
make the solution come to life, and iterative test. Presentation
skills: Communicate design concepts and narratives, centering on
user needs in a way that garners empathy for the end user and
appeals to clients' business objectives. Time & Project Management:
Effectively prioritizes time on projects to tackle the most
important tasks. Sets realistic deadlines, balances creative
exploration with productivity. Adaptability & Agility: Respond and
adjust creatively and effectively to changing trends, user needs,
and technological advancements. Act in a flexible manner in thought
and approach, embrace new ideas, and continuously deliver in the
face of change. Cross-functional collaboration: Work successfully
with a multidisciplinary team by actively listening, effectively
conveying ideas, and integrating diverse expertise—from user
research insights to technical feasibility—into a unified,
innovative design solution. Leadership, mentorship, and broader
design studio responsibilities Lead the product design efforts on
client project pitches and proposals, in collaboration with broader
go-to-market teams, driving the design strategy and prototype
creation that demonstrate Brillio’s intended approach in the pitch
to win new work. Mentor both Sr. and Junior designers across
disciplines to elevate both hard and soft skills. Manage and
support direct reports through goal setting, performance feedback,
and individualized career development. Foster a studio culture
grounded in curiosity, collaboration, and accountability. Lead by
example in adopting AI-enabled design methods, sharing learnings
through internal showcases and training sessions. Act as a bridge
between design and other disciplines (engineering, product, data)
to ensure alignment and delivery excellence. Contribute to the
studio’s thought leadership through internal presentations, case
studies, and participation in design community events. Contribute
to the hiring process by assessing the portfolios of prospective
talent Qualifications Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Graphic Design, UX / Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction
(HCI), Computer Graphics, Art & Design, or related field. Or a
really strong portfolio that demonstrates a depth of experience and
outcomes in product design. Experience 6-8 years working with
clients on digital products and experiences as demonstrated through
a well-designed portfolio that showcases a range of successful
