Sunshine Learning Center is currently seeking a passionate, nurturing, and experienced Certified Teacher to join our preschool program. OUR CERTIFIED TEACHERS WILL: Maintain an open, friendly and cooperative relationship with each child and each child's family. Be familiar with Creative Curriculum and NY common core. Consistently provide stimulating activities that will support their emotional, intellectual and social development. Encourage parental involvement in the program. Nurture the parent-child bonding. Keep an open line of communication between families regarding their child's developmental growth and transitions. Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate and individualized development plan for each child; taking care to include parents in the planning process. Conduct daily safety inspection of the classroom. Prepare and implement transition plans that ensure continuity of care; taking care to involve parents in in the planning of transition and taking an active role in the transition process. Work with parents to increase their understanding of child development, including but not limited to development stages, developmental appropriateness, early literacy and parental involvement. Monitor physical and emotional well-being of children. Assess family needs. Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures while supervising the children at all times. Accept supervision. Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and staff trainings. Communicate effectively with others, including giving and receiving feedback. Cooperate successfully and professionally as a member of a team. Offer and collaborate ideas and materials with co-workers. CERTIFIED TEACHER QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a BA or Masters Degree in Early Childhood Must hold a NY State Teaching Certificate Birth-2nd Must be Fingerprinted by IdentoGo Experience working in a 3-4's classroom (Preferably) and a minimum of 2 years working in a classroom setting
