Job Description:
Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field and
three years of experience conducting training programs in health
education, public health, health care, or a related field; OR an
Associate's degree in a related and five years of such experience;
OR seven years of such experience. A Master's degree in a related
field may substitute for one year of experience.This position
requires that the incumbent will report to the official work
location and live within commuting distance to the official work
location. Telecommuting may not be available. If telecommuting is
available, the incumbent will be required to have a
telephone/mobile device, and internet access.Health Research,

QualificationsMaster's degree in public health, public policy,
social work, sociology, public administration or a related field.
At least three years of experience delivering training programs
related to health equity, racial justice, HIV, STIs, viral
hepatitis, LGBT health or drug user health. At least three years of
experience developing training curricula on topics related to
health equity, racial justice, HIV, STIs, viral hepatitis, LGBT
health or drug user health. Experience working at a community based
organization (CBO), health department or health care setting with
responsibilities related to promoting LGBT health. Experience
working at a health department, CBO, syringe exchange program or
other program with responsibilities related to promoting drug user
health.ResponsibilitiesThe Health Program Education Coordinator I
will be responsible for coordinating and contributing toward the
implementation and evaluation of a wide range of activities for the
health equity unit, a section of the Office of the Medical Director
that serves as a resource and provides technical assistance for the
AIDS Institute. Duties will include: 1) developing curricula and
conducting training and technical assistance on health equity and
racial justice topics for AIDS Institute staff, funded providers,
health departments and other other community organizations; 2)
coordinating and evaluating in-depth capacity building initiatives
to support achievement of health and racial equity for people
living with HIV; 3) serving as liaison to consumer and provider
groups to facilitate community input into health equity and racial
justice training programs and consumer education materials; 4)
developing slidesets, toolkits, on-line trainings, webinars and
other resources on advanced topics related to health equity and
racial justice as they pertain to HIV care, HIV/STI prevention,
drug user health and LGBT health; 5) providing oversight for the
Health Equity training center of expertise.Employee BenefitsHealth
