A contract position is available for a Special Education Teacher to support a middle school AIM program serving behavioral students. This role is based in Hamden, CT, with a full-time schedule from 7:25 AM to 2:40 PM, Monday through Friday, running from ASAP through the end of the school year. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction and support for middle school students with behavioral challenges within both push-in and pull-out settings. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student growth and success. Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly. Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and related educational activities. Qualifications and Experience: Valid Connecticut Special Education teaching license required. Experience working with middle school students in behavioral programs preferred. Strong knowledge of special education best practices and legal requirements. Ability to manage a caseload effectively and provide differentiated instruction.
